To close "ok google" assistant by voice just say
"ok google"
"open..... " name of your launcher app.

Are you frustrated that when using Google assistant "ok google" on your Android device you have to close it by picking up your phone and pressing back?

You've done everything else by voice commands, but can't close it by voice.

I was...
I tried "ok google".."close"...
And every keyword I could think of.

But.

To get around this Just say "ok google" followed by "open xxxxx" where xxxx is the name of your launcher app.

I'm using Nova Launcher so.

"ok google"
"open Nova"

Google assistant will close and you'll be back at your home screen without having to touch your phone.

"ok google"
"remind me to buy milk tomorrow morning"
"ok google"
"open Nova"

Done.

It will never reach stable on S3 unfortunately due to Samsung not releasing driver source etc. However, I run temasek unofficial build on S3 (s3 development on xda) and it's a great rom.

What!?

Clearing the Dalvik cache on your android device really makes a difference in device speed and app response times when it starts to slow down after a while!

Particularly chrome beta browser which was getting slower and slower.
