The rant at the end is fantastic. Critics are there to give their views on a game, not make you feel better about the games and consoles you choose to spend money on. If you're that insecure about your purchases perhaps you should wait until after launch and forego the garbage pre-order bonuses and wait to see if, gasp, what you're buying is actually any good.

Check out Jill Gevargizian kicking ass as a badass lady horror director!

Jill Sixx Gevargizian is kicking ass and making waves in the indie horror genre. After working on some other artists’ projects including the Soska Sisters’ T is for Torture Porn from The ABCs of Death 2 Jill debuted her first directorial effort, Call Girl, in February 2015. With her next short film The Stylist waiting in the wings and her assistant directing job on James Bickert’s Frankenstein Created Bikers we are set to hear a lot more from this rising star! Jill is a pleasure to talk to and we cover her own films, how she got into filmmaking, her favorite kind of horror movies, and a ton more. Tell your friends you knew her before she was a big fucking deal by listening to this episode and watch Call Girl! Also, I give a brief word on a movie you might have heard of: MAD MAX FURY ROAD.

I keep coming back to this video for the dramatic reading of the game description. Some of Jim's best work.

Same. If only the game itself had that in it.

I wish I had a hundred bucks to squander like this. Steam Greenlight is a giant cesspool these days.

Listen to this then see The Drownsman!

It's #throwbackthursday so we are presenting to you a revisit to the first ever episode of It Came From the Indies. Why? THE DROWNSMAN has just hit store shelves in North America and we want to celebrate by again sharing the talk Martin and Ashlee from Graveyard Shift Sisters had with some of the cast and crew from August 2014. Talking the film and some other Black Fawn Films output is producer Chris Giroux, director Chad Archibald and two of the stars of The Drownsman: Clare Bastable and Sydney Kondruss. They share all sorts of behind the scenes stories, the trials and tribulations of working on low budget horror, and the nightmare itself of having to work with water. It’s a great look into the love and passion of indie filmmaking and that is why we are happy reshare it with you. Hopefully it will inspire you to support the great people at Black Fawn Films and you’ll check out The Drownsman!

Next week is rising horror director JILL SIXX who is totally badass and awesome!

When I worked in video game distribution I would hear some stories about Konami and be generally frustrated by them. They would tell us we just simply HAD TO order their games, even ones that they put less effort into promoting than they did taking a dump. There was also the issue that Konami USA is basically at the mercy of the insane lunatics at Konami Japan who would send them X number of each new DDR game with no regard for how many they had actually pre-sold. What a disaster that company is.

Live from the Philadelphia Podcasting Society’s Podcast Fair comes a special episode of It Came From the Indies! Martin talks to Tony Trov and Johnny Zito of South Fellini about their two movies Alpha Girls: A Satanic Sorority Slasher and the recently-shot American Exorcist. Tony and Johnny talk about their media-spanning projects, from comics to Philly-inspired shirts, to their feature films. They talk about leveraging the good will of the local community in Philadelphia in order to create interesting works with the character of the city, taking care of your crew, having a woman of color in a leading role, and how to successfully utilize crowd funding. This was recorded in a bar so the patrons are somewhat loud so this doesn’t have the usual high cough quality of It Came From the Indies but is still a great listen with a couple of really cool guys with great attitudes.
