Are there quotas now on getProperties in PropertyService?

Some of my scripts are failing today with Service invoked too many times for one day: properties. Looking at the code I'm only invoking getProperties() in PropertyService. My understanding was there were only quotas for setting properties[1]. Anyone else experiencing similar? Is this a change in quotas, bug or other?

(in case you missed) new Google+ API Service in Google Apps Script
Gerwin Sturm originally shared:

A quick and dirty sample on how to use the new Google+ API Service[1] in Google Apps Script to do some analytics of your posts for people who like numbers :)

Source code:
https://gist.github.com/Scarygami/00b628ce577d2626c74e

Sample sheet (you won't be able to actually use the add-on since you would need write access):
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dadnKx9rwjRk7CxDf7zsPhvaQc5SNCLfwlxBOBWoZ6I/edit?usp=sharing

It was possible to do similar things before (and I did some projects in this area for customers) but that was rather painful using url fetch [2] and having to take care of authentication "manually".

Things would be even easier if it were possible to create pivot reports using Google Apps Script automatically...

It doesn't work for non-latin accounts names.
Sorry, my fault. It works. Just enabled the dev console and wait several times.

By me and follow up to #rhizo15 talk.

With the growing usage of data in education I believe APIs are the only way to use data effectively and efficiently
