Given the news that G Suite users will be moving from classic Hangouts to Hangouts Chat later in the year you might want to join Cleo Espiritu and me to learn how to create Hangouts Chat bots in Google Apps Script - this Fri at 4pm GMT. For details visit https://tu.appsscript.info/

Great piece from +Ivan Kutil on how you can distribute your Google Apps Script Web App to your #GSuite users as an Android application. Lots of potential for #GSuiteEDU

In case you missed ...
In a recent episode of Totally Unscripted I demonstrated how you can use the Dialogflow service as a way to allow you to add conversational interfaces to your Google Apps Script projects. In my latest post I've published a framework which hopefully makes it easier to include Dialogflow powered conversational interfaces in your G Suite Add-ons.

In the October release notes some methods were added to SpreadsheetApp for things like .isRowHiddenByUser(rowPosition) and .isRowHiddenByFilter(rowPosition). Is anyone finding these useful?

Usually when I'm writing code I'm dealing with batches and finding out if a row or column is visible with a row/col index in this way is just too slow.

+Romain Vialard has some nice snippets here https://sites.google.com/site/scriptsexamples/learn-by-example/google-sheets-api/filters and +Bruce Mcpherson has a library http://ramblings.mcpher.com/Home/excelquirks/exceldocsintegration/filters both of which use the Sheets Advanced Service which I'm finding better to use than these new methods
