Convert Android apps into Chrome Apps
This looks interesting

This Android app can convert Android apps into Chrome OS apps to run on Chromebooks and Chromeboxes.  I haven't tried it, so I cannot vouch that it indeed works.

Has anyone given this thing a whirl yet?  Please provide feedback if you have any.

Here is a direct link to the app in the Play Store:

If you would like to keep up with the latest deals and news on Chromebooks I also recommend following me as I update my profile with the latest news regularly.

Happy colorful Lego pieces made into a plane (sort of) and some other fantasy-vehicle.
In my mind, bad ass Mad Max-like constructs roaming the wasteland of our living room floor. That's what +LEGO still does to a grown man's mind.
Spiderman seems to approve his new ride.

Team outing - what's your fighting style?

What does your fighting/boxing "style" tell you about how you behave at work?

Do you take up a lot of room? Keep your defense close to yourself or far from your body? Are you an agressor, only respond to other's initiatives, or go with the flow?

Great workshop (and nobody really got hurt)!

Niantic and Nintendo's Pokemon - Perfect Together

It doesn't take a hard-core gamer to understand the power that was revealed by +Ingress - the augmented reality multiplayer game that swept up a global following under Google's Niantic Labs. Now Niantic Labs is +Niantic, Inc., and they are about to launch an amazing gaming coup with its all-star game partner +Nintendo.

Nintendo's classic Pokemon game is becoming Pokemon Go via Niantic, and if the teaser video posted on +YouTube is any indication, it will have an effect on the gaming world like no other game to date. Go leverages the enormous, global, site-specific data map of the world that Ingress built up through a huge and fanatic network of users playing Ingress in the real world, and now advances it into AR gameplay that enables Pokemon critters to pop up on your mobile device screen as if they are right in the scenery before you.

As a concept, it's amazingly powerful. Combined with the field-tested technology and fan management infrastructure of Niantic, it has the potential to become a global craze at a speed that may snap a few necks here and there - especially at game console companies that are still stuck on the couch potato culture in the middle of a mobile generation shift that values IRL-powered tech fun as much as on-screen fun.

I've always had great respect for the amazingly high quality of Nintendo's Wii game and fitness software, and for their pioneering work in bringing human motion into the world of game consoles via Wii so powerfully. They have a great dedication to quality - which, unfortunately, got eclipsed by market-think about proprietary platforms that was way out of sync with today's consumer-think.

Now, with Pokemon Go, Nintendo finally gets to break out of its self-designed, proprietary cage in a huge, global, cross-platform way - and Niantic gets to shake off its over-tight ties to Google's +Android platform and gets its own kind of cross-platform liberation through an amazingly powerful marketing and technology alliance. It's a perfect example of how Google's Alphabet Inc. spinoff strategy can pay off big. Should be a huge launch!

Death by autobot

Interesting article. Basically, the programmers of autonomous vehicles will be deciding whether, in case of mishaps, it will hit you or the car driving next to you. Programming life or death.

Who will be held accountable in cases of death-by-robot? The car manufacturer? Will there be transparency and accountability regarding the decisions that are made while programming these "decisions to be made" by the self-driving vehicle?

Google Hangout via Google Chromecast

Actuarial Analyst. Information Management. Nuts for numbers. Writes about Google, Search, Google+, Social Media Metrics and Analytics, online influence and everything tech.
Born and raised in The Netherlands. Working as an Actuarial Analyst (and enjoying it) while trying to pry his way into the Information Management workfield (preferably web related). Interested in everthing tech, writing, humanity and gaming. News and information junkie (and losing some sleep over it :-)

Writing a lot about Google and Google Plus in particular, Social Media and Social Networking, technology, Analytics and Social Media Metrics (which will become an important topic over the next couple of years). Trying to figure out the key to measuring Social Media ROI.

I like testing out new (social) software and am always looking for new (internet-) products/software and interesting start-ups.

Besides all this I am setting up a business ( , Dutch) which helps small business owners get more effective and efficient by using the right (online-) tools (cloud, like Google Apps, and non-cloud), helping to integrate social media into their processes and teaching them how to monitor their brand mentions on the interwebs (know what is going on around you and what customers have to say about you!).

I set up some categories on things I post, so click away and the categorie link will take you there:
