"Humility is one of the most important qualities, which you must have, because... if you are humble... if you make people realize that you are no threat to them, then people will embrace you, they will listen to you."
~ Nelson Mandela (1918-2013), political leader, philanthropist

What a great man! He said this on The Oprah Winfrey Show - see youtu.be/wX85KLMOnQg at 02:47.

Parkinson’s Disease and Tai Chi: Bringing Balance to the Body
'According to Bill Douglas of World T’ai Chi and Qigong Day, Tai Chi [(Taiji)] movements rotate the human body in about 95% of the ways the body can move when a long form is practiced. This is far beyond what other exercise offers, and, in fact, the closest would be several swimming strokes, which together would only rotate the body in about 65% of the ways it can move. For Parkinson’s sufferers, or anyone for that matter, this would indicate that by “using” 95% of the body’s possible motion several times a week, the possibility of “losing” the ability to do so diminishes accordingly.'

I think PD students should first concentrate more on the simpler Qigong routines and then gradually move onto a simpler Taiji form.

Interesting to see again this video that I had posted more than 4 years ago. Some of the stuff is very similar to the Ryukyu Kobujutsu that I practiced today.

Yongchun White Crane Weapon Forms.
"Yongchun is thought to be the original home of White Crane Boxing. The style itself traces to the 1700's when Fang Qiniang and her husband supposedly taught this system in the Yongtai area. From there, various branches spread out evolving into the various Fuzhou and Taiwanese systems."

These are quite interesting. I particularly like that Big Staff with that long reach ... definitely a weapon that needs some space.

A Lesson of Charity
Yeah, be aware of your surroundings and open our eyes and learn to not judge a person on their initial appearance. I've seen different variations of this type story like The Lunch Date (youtu.be/epuTZigxUY8)
