Spring weather is returning and the Niagara parkway is gradually becoming a beautiful stretch of green leaves and pink blossoms.

With kilometers worth of walking trails along the Niagara Gorge it can be worth the hike to enjoy the serene natural beauty of Niagara.

Or grab a convertible and take it all in before heading to your favourite casino or attractions.

Stayed 2 nights at the Gateway this past weekend. 2 queen sized beds on a 9th floor room. First thing, fridge was not on, so needed to call Tech guy to switch it on. Once on, it was a functioning fridge. I wonder if they leave all their fridges off to save on electricity! Beds were comfortable, as were pillows. Shower strength was impressive. Better than my own, and I like it hard! Views were like you see on the website. And worth the extra dough. Interesting to see the crowds over the course of the day. Breakfast was impressive as well. Excellent and well replenished spread. Elevators have a special system, which actually makes sense when you get used to it. Elevators are not heated. So you can't walk around in indoor clothes! Lots of young couples and families in this hotel. Check-in had a line, but this is understandable on a Valentine's/Family Day weekend. Fallsview Marriott has terrible front entrance with cars backed up on the street. A concierge or directions would be a start! It looked like the drop zone of the airport but only 50 feet long! Gateway not as bad. But nobody directing traffic or offering a welcome at this point, which would be appreciated! TV selection not anything special. Remote we received was broken, and the replacement was just as bad. Do guests use them as footballs? PF charge on bill should be explained better. Was told it as a tourist tax! The trip was a success thanks to the Marriott. Sam

We stayed here for two nights. The room and bathroom were clean but we had a leak in our sink, the plumber came right up though he couldn't fix it that day because the whole faucet needed replacing. We has a waterfall view and it really was amazing. The fireworks were not as close as I thought they were going to be, so that was really unimpressive. There was no breakfast included in the price of the room, which I knew. However the price of the breakfast buffet was so unbelievable . $20 for each adult and $10 for children. We paid $70 for breakfast for our family of four, when our hotel room costs $300 a night. It seemed ridiculous to me. And the food was more like what you'd find in a cheap hotel that you'd would stay in while passing through one state to get to someplace better. Dry overcooked eggs, funky tasting sausage. The waffles tasted too wierd to eat, and I didn't think there was such a thing. The bowls for the cereal were ALL dirty. My son couldn't eat the pineapple cause it was rock hard. We did even bother going to dinner or lunch at their Milestones grill even though they gave us a $25 gift card to it. That probably wouldn't even have scratched the surface. On another note, the wireless internet was an extra $10 and was so slow or non-existent we could barely use it. I don't think we would go back here if we visited the falls again.

rooms were dirty, toilet was not working...shower was making loud noises and barely worked... customer service was horrible, rude,.. elevators were annoying and then stop working and we were on the 8th floor... It was freezing in the hallway and elevator.. Would not recommend this hotel and will never go back!!!!

My girlfriends and I stayed here for 1 night for a bachelorette party for one of our girls. We were not entirely satisfied with the service and how they communicate with their guests. The view was great! But could be even better if it was in higher floor. We were happy in that aspect. However, for paying almost $250/night we would think Wi-Fi would be complimentary, but it was NOT!!! Even Holiday Inn Express gets free Wi-Fi in the room! This was not communicated when we checked-in! Then next is we got complaints for being too loud in our room, but they didn't even try to call us and they've already called the police to kick us OUT! We were totally not happy with their way of communication and service! Don't waste your money with this hotel!

I went with my mother on June 11th 2013 to stay the night at Niagra Fallsview Gateway. What was supposed to be a lovely mother/daughter trip (after she flew 14 hours to be with me) started out in possibly the worst way imaginable. Going to check in at the front desk, my mother told AMANDA (who checked us in) that her sister and brother in law had made a reservation for us and before she could continue, was told in a derogatory manner that "if you are insinuating that this room has been paid for, it hasn't". For a hotel that is known world wide, I was absolutely DISGUSTED by the mannerisms of this lady at the front desk. We were spoken down to and left with a bad taste in our mouth to say the least. I have never been so infuriated and felt so discriminated against in a hotel that is supposed to be of such repute, needless to say I will NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. Although the manager was sorry (we were given vouchers for breakfast and starbucks) and we did appreciate the gesture. The hour that was wasted complaining about this and the way we were treated initially definitely was not worth the stay.
