Branding is important, these are some solid examples from Greece. Four out of five have emerged during the financial crisis.

I went to a wine tasting in Silicon Valley recently, and people started to talk about Greek wines. Most of these people know tons about wine, but did not have any experience with Greek wines.
What are your recommendations for a Greek wine tasting in the US?

Looking forward to this project which should be very educational. What are your thoughts on the short video? Would love to hear your feedback.

Great photography - lead shot is Meteora!

Monday Albums of Inspiration: Fantasy Landscapes

Even though I’ve stood in these spots, It still amazes me that some of these places actually exist. I will forever be humbled by the beauty of this planet.

Disclaimer: No fairies or unicorns were harmed in the making of these photographs. Well... All except for that one time... That was unfortunate.

Great, thanks for sharing. I think, I will start with solving sudoku instead of making photos.

Having shared here in a long time. I doubt that wine lovers are aware that some of the highest altitude vineyards in Europe are located in Greece.

Sound delightful! Wish we could be teleported to Greece right now. :) Assyrtiko was actually my favorite - loved its bubbly characteristics.

Turns out Pinot Grigio can be great, especially from Friuli. Lettie helps me give PG a chance in today's Wall Street Journal.

Greek reds have so much potential, it is a shame that the official industry bodies fail to promote them due to politics and the stupid demand to receive funds from the wineries according to existing export volumes. This will always favour the large brands, who have not excited in the past. I have no doubts that it would do wonders for the reputation of Greek wines if the policies would change.

Needs some time in a decanter to open up, lots of stewed prunes aromas, medium bodied, solid length. Very interesting indeed.
