The days are becoming numbered for those landlords and letting agents that are making tenants lives a misery up and down the country.

Marks Out Of Tenancy is set to launch soon.

We're here for tenants to share their experiences with each other but how is it going to work?

It's refreshing to hear Jeremy Corbyn be vocal on housing issues. His acceptance speech directly addressed London rents and his debut question to David Cameron at Prime Minister’s Question time focused on housing and private rental prices, but what is he actually saying about it?

Quite often we take the things we’re used to for granted and the internet is certainly one of those things. So sometimes we need reminding what a powerful tool it is and what a massive change it can bring about.

This is why we're using +OpenStreetMap

54% of tenants say they never feel fully ‘at home’ whilst renting.
40% of them say they wouldn’t want to raise a family in rented accommodation.
56% of renters are left dissatisfied with the service provided by their letting agents.

We all use statistics to quickly and concisely demonstrate a point and because writing a list of every anecdotal tale we’ve ever heard about terrible landlords or horrible property would involve a whole lot of work.

At Marks Out Of Tenancy, that’s what we’re doing.

We figure that if we all start sharing these rental experiences - both good and bad, online in one easily accessible place, then maybe we can start saying these horror stories aren’t just ‘part of life’.

We’re working all hours, developing an understanding of the rental market and building the foundations for a platform where tenants can congregate and share their stories - that’s where you come in.

Without tenants getting involved, we can’t start changing the market in favour of the renters. A market where you know the ins and outs of your landlord, letting agent, property and area from the tenants eyes, before you have to sign anything.

You can sign up for beta access to the site today at www.marksoutoftenancy.com so let’s start rating rental experiences and sharing stories so together we can make a change for the better.

£250,000 of tax payers money was spent on what the Chair of the London Assembly has branded 'a flop'.

The figures prove it flopped, we look at the reasons behind the failure.
