Screenshot from an enewsletter I just received from Target Marketing Magazine -- one of the leading publications in my industry. Improper use of "it's" vs. "its" TWICE in the same message. Right next to each other. C'mon guys.

Here's a very interesting take on the Facebook scandal, and its current "Apology Tour." Just like this commentator, I believe nothing much will change despite what Facebook claims -- ads will still clog our screen, Facebook will still make billions off of big data, and so on. Admittedly, I buy ad space on Facebook on behalf of my clients. Why? Because it works. But Facebook's "feel good campaign" doesn't seem genuine. They're a major media platform making major buckage. http://www.targetmarketingmag.com/video/what-were-they-thinking/wwtt-facebook-apologizes-sort-of

Does your company have any data on residents of the European Union? This may include newsletter subscribers, buyers from your e-commerce site, a lead from a trade show, a fellow member of a professional association, and so on. If you do, you MUST follow guidelines of the new EU law known as GDPR: General Data Protection Regulation. Even if your business has no physical presence in the EU, you are bound by these regulations on how you handle any Personally Identifiable Information. This could be something as simple as a single email address. The law takes effect May 25, 2018. Read my article on this new law, and how it affects marketers: http://vogelmarketing.net/gdpr-tips.html
