The party descends into the crevice, dubbed the sphincter of Blackpool by certain nameless party members [Ingvild]. Previously, only Locky had dared its depths, and he's no longer around to report his findings.

The party finally makes it back into the dungeon.
It takes the party over two hours to cover the remaining distance to the Maze. The continued rain has done the imposssible: made the area even more of a mucky mess. As the party gets close to fog-shrouded walls, Ava takes a pass around the ruin. She returns and reports no sign of activity within ...

So close to a self-inflicted TPK! So very close.
When we left our party, they were cleaning up the mess after their fight with the brutes, gnolls and kobolds. The last few lines of the last turn... As Raúguey gets close, there are squeals and shouts from inside the hut. He pauses a few feet away. "Can anyone make out what they're saying?" ...

Combat is winding down, or is it?
Most enemies are down, but we stuck with combat rounds this turn, because there are still fleeing gnolls and cowering kobolds around. Since there are no visible enemies, initiative isn't really a factor. [Round Nine] Saurabh rises higher into the air, keeping a sharp eye out for foes approaching ...

The party manages to talk Durego out of killing the helpless kobolds, and now they turn their attention to getting what information they can from the dog-headed runts. Also, running away.

My campaign!  -

I've been running a play-by-email Labyrinth Lord campaign for about three years now. There have been some deaths along the way, but this is the first major player versus player blowout the party has faced. The likely TPK was avoided, but only just. This is the entire turn, as it happened.

Yep, still happens. I moved away from my long-term gaming group, and this is how we deal with the loss. :D

The battle is mostly over, but the party still has to deal with the remaining gnolls and kobolds. Fortunately both groups seem to be running away.

I've just published the latest triple pack of tiles for Dungeons in Blue, kicking off the new Expansion sets. I've done a whole bunch of specialized tunnel and cavern types over the last few months, and Expansion gemorphs are the first series to make use of all these passage types.
