Revisiting the shades/shadows in the Wilds.
After a night's rest, the group is ready to head back to the crypts, better prepared for their chilling foes. After some preparation and planning, the party returns to Pillar Vale. They expect to face at least one more of the chilling wraiths they faced yesterday, but this time they're ready.

After facing the icy shade, the party decides that getting out of Dodge and finding someplace safe to recover is a good thing. Of course, they're surrounded by dense woods in unknown territory, so 'safe' is relative.
Sorely wounded, the party regroups and immediately decides a retreat is in order. Those affected by the chilling aura try to warm themselves while the others gather their arrows and darts. Strom reaches into pale Durego's pack and pulls out the kettle. "Let's make use of this quickly, ...

The latest turn in my ongoing LL PBEM campaign. The party is looking for their lost, dead, hirelings. Maybe they've found one?

This is the most recent turn in my ongoing Labyrinth Lord, PBEM game, a sandbox-ish wilderness / dungeon romp. The party is searching for the corpses of several hirelings who were slain while the party was dealing with a spidery menace elsewhere. The corpses were taken/wandered off.
After watching Ohwatoo check the three sarcophagi in the last chamber for magic [none], Maro says, "You know, it's odd there are no inscriptions or writing anywhere in here." Durego shrugs. "Maybe, maybe not. Most tombs of Erlinga's faithful have little in the way of markings or writing either.

The pillar hall tiles are almost done. Almost.
The latest Tile of the Week entry. This is another pair of tiles from the ongoing corridor set I'm doing. Each pair of player tiles contains a corridor piece with a tileable pillar layout, so you can make long passages that look right. No tricks or traps here, unless you add your own.

The party continues to explore the pillar-marked crypt. They're still hoping to find their lost hirelings in here... somewhere.
As the others debate where to go next, Raúguey takes an interest in the statues while Strom Maro, Ingvild, and Ohwatoo examine the open sarcophagus. The statues are big and bulky, eight feet tall and mounted on thick stone bases. The streaked white and yellow stone has a slightly sandy feel to ...

Corridors are done, for now, on to bigger and better things.
The latest Tile of the Week entry. I decided to do a mega-tile geomorph as a change of pace from the many pillared corridor tiles that I've been doing. It shows a natural cave with a river running through it. A few mineshaft corridors and chambers connect up to the cave.

The last pair of tiles in the (perhaps too) long corridor series I did. Next week, something new.
The latest Tile of the Week entry. This is the final pair of tiles from the ongoing corridor set I'm doing. Each pair of player tiles contains a corridor piece with a tileable pillar layout, so you can make long passages that look right. No tricks or traps here, unless you add your own.

The party continues their exploration of the tomb site they found while searching for the wandering corpses of their friends.

The most recent turn in my PBEM LL game. The party lost three of their hirelings, slain by something as they watched the mules. Their bodies vanished and the trail (kind of) leads here.
