Interesting case of a former Buckeye Football great who was prosecuted for defending himself from a drunk bully.

Well... turns out he's not exactly poor - and he wants to teach The State to think twice about who they accuse of wrongdoing.
Jim Stillwagon says that his fame from his Ohio State University football days made him an easy target, and the Delaware police officers who arrested him after a road-rage incident in 2012 mistreated him and destroyed his reputation. A judge threw out the case against Stillwagon, and now he is suing the city of Delaware, some of its officers and the man who he says engaged him in a 14-mile-game of cat-and-mouse on rural highways.

Article is a bit sketchy, but the prosecutor should've  reviewed the case better.

The definition of government is to protect the people. For them to do that, the people must relinquish some freedoms. The question is how much freedom are you willing to give and how much do you want back out of it.

Alcohol is more harmful than any other drug. Try to name one person on earth who has ever died from shrooms, peyote, LSD, etc. How many deaths occur each year from hard opiates like meth/heroin? Inconceivably less than the amount of deaths each year from alcohol.

I believe in freedom. Not anarchy. Just a sensible balance of freedom and protection. Drugs are a personal matter and are not to be interfered with by the government. Drugs have been used for thousands of years for spiritual purposes. No one on earth has any right to tell someone what they can or cannot introduce into their own body. Individuals should not be protected from themselves. That is an outright destruction of their free will.

Prototype (the real thing)  -

Had a US prototype question...

What are some of the telltale signs that a model freight car is out of it's era on a layout?

I was looking at some photos I took of boxcars in my area and they all have brake wheels that are relatively low to the ground.

I've seen models with high brake wheels but no rooftop walkways.  The example I saw most recently was photographed in 1981 or so.

So do railroads modernize the equipment as the cars come in for service or do features such as high brake wheels pretty much exist unmolested until the car is put out of service?

A lot of older era cars are shorter, the font on the box car (lables etc.) will be more wild west or gatsby (just really general examples) on older era cars, and also what i just found out is (ya i know that this is a rookie mistake) you can tell by the trucks. if your train car has arch bar trucks it is most likely older. (late 1800's-very early 1900's)
