- OpenText | GXSIndustry Marketing Director, present
- Warwick Manufacturing Group
- McLaren Marketing Limited
- GEC Avionics Limited
As Industry Marketing Director, I lead OpenText | GXS’ strategy in the manufacturing industry where I have a particular focus on automotive, high tech and industrial sectors. In this role, I define the go-to-market strategy for OpenText | GXS’ cloud based B2B e-commerce and integration solutions within the afore-mentioned industry sectors.
In recent years I have developed thought leadership in areas such as the Internet of Things, cloud computing, ERP integration, divestitures, B2B outsourcing, emerging markets and supply chain disruption. I frequently speak at global conferences on subjects such as improving the efficiency of manufacturing supply chains and strategies for managing offshore manufacturing operations. I am often quoted in industry publications such as Automotive Logistics, Manufacturing Digital and Automotiveworld.com. I also have a keen interest in all aspects of social media to help develop my ‘digital footprint’ across the manufacturing sector. As part of my role I work closely with the industry organisations, for example working with Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) and ODETTE in the automotive sector and I participate in the EDIFICE high tech industry association in Europe.
Prior to joining OpenText | GXS, I worked for the National B2B Centre in the UK, a government-funded organisation which helped small-to-medium-sized companies adopt all aspects of B2B technology. I also spent 12 years with PTC, a PLM software solution provider, where I held a number of senior positions in Technical Presales and International Marketing.
I have an MSc in Computer Aided Engineering from Cranfield University and an MBA from Warwick Business School, both universities are located in the UK.
