Join author-illustrators Aiko Ikegami and Mark Mitchell for a special Google+ Live Event, "A Picture Book's Journey to Publication."

Self-taught illustrator Aiko takes us on the surprisingly fast path to publishing her picture book "Friends" (Albert Whitman and Company) from the germ of an idea, to early thumbnails and sketches, then a dummy, to securing an agent (after several expressed interest) to the  pre-release book order page in the Albert Whitman and Company spring catalog.

What makes first time children's author Aiko's story all the more interesting is that English is a second language for her.

Don't miss this inspiring, fun interactive event that will combine instructive presentation, interview (with inside scoop) and live Q&A, Aiko and Mark hope, with you.
