A wonderful historical illustration by Google guest artist Floriane Marchix (criticism noted, all white faces on the construction crew.)

On this day 126 years ago, construction of the Eiffel Tower came to an end–marking the arrival of one of the most famous and recognized landmarks on the planet. Guest artist Floriane Marchix depicts this anniversary on our homepage today.
