The Internet connection and automation service IFTTT is launching on Android today, and it offers a deeper set of integrations with the OS than their iOS..

I really like the ICE feature in Peppermint...I create desktop icons for each, and my computer ends up becoming a mirror of my #Android  phone :) #linux

Lets remember that the vendor lock-in from the proprietary software suites is not a fault of the GNU/Linux community, but with the SW vendors themselves.  That said, I have never found a task that could be accomplished with such a proprietary application that I could not accomplish with GPL software, but the opposite is not true.  Sure, there is learning involved with a new application, but the core functionality is there.

+Stephen Myall No problem. Just figured I'd bring up the issue. Either way, it was well written and at least well researched. Just don't go Softpedia on us :P
