Initial impressions are very good on my nexus 5

Today we’re launching Google Camera, a new app for your Android phone or tablet that makes it easy to take quick photos and videos. And being behind the lens just got more fun with new creative picture modes.

Sleek Design. The 100% viewfinder gets out of your way while capturing the maximum resolution of the scene (no dropped pixels). And the extra large capture button is easy to press so your eyes never lose sight of the subject.

Lens Blur. Emphasize the subject while blurring the background for an SLR-like shot with shallow depth-of-field (or bokeh). You can even change the subject in focus after taking the shot.

Improved Panorama. New higher resolution panoramas capture the full width and detail of a scene.

Photo Sphere. Immersive 360 degree photo spheres let you look up, down and all around...now at up to 50 megapixels! For the first time available on non-Nexus devices.

Google Camera is now available on the Play store (http://goo.gl/llsZjx), and works on all phones and tablets running Android 4.4+ KitKat. We’re just getting started, and in the months ahead we'll make Google Camera available to more devices, helping make photography easier, faster and more fun.

Well I can definitely confirm that the V6 1.6l #f1 cars are a lot quieter in the flesh, no need for earplugs here. In fact f1 cats are quieter than the Porsche supercup cars! (Really...)

Loving my new Chromecast, but one thing I am missing is a really good photo album viewing app.

I have tried PhotoWall by Google, but it's REALLY tedious to add pictures, it seems to want to add them one by one, and I can't add them from the Google+ albums.

Figuring there must be something better?

I've not tried it yet, but was looking for something similar and came across Pixocast for iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/pixocast-watch-your-mobile/id814298961?mt=8

Just signed up for Amazon Prime.  Whilst many bill it as a rip off, I spotted my Loveflim is now billed separately (Instant Video £5.99, Loveflim Disks by post £4), so I am paying 12 x £5.99 yearly for Loveflim Instant already.

Amazon prime includes that, and costs £79 a year...   In short, if you use Loveflim already on a package that includes unlimited streaming, for an extra £7 a year, you can get unlimited free next day postage from Amazon....

Whilst sensationalist sites like +BBC News are keen to point out the downsides, not one single site has mentioned this version of events...

Anyone would think they are cahoots with Netflix....

New Zealand seems to be stuck in 2002 when it comes to free internet. Most hotels give you a free 20mb/20min allowance per 24hrs.

That's where mac spoofing comes in very handy. Sure you need to do it manually, but each time will get you another WiFi session. Rooted device needed,

Very good hotel, good location, close to metro (5-10 min walk), pool is good, as are the facilities. Restaurants are good too, the top floor Indian is amazing (but a little pricey), the Mexican was great too (catch the unlimited tacos and Margaritas on Tuesday evening!!!) My only word of advice would be to avoid the Taxis that hang around outside the hotel. Their trip out to the floating markets sounds too good to be true, and it is, they drop you at a place that wants obscene money for the boat trips around the markets. Book with someone more reputable.

Needed a last-minute hotel to fill a gap in our schedule due to a flight change. This was close to the airport for our early morning flight and included a free transfer and free wifi and for this reason, it was a real bargain. The staff speak good English and are friendly and efficient, the rooms are clean. It's not going to be great if you want to go out and about, as the area is off the main road and looked a little "interesting", but for one night, close to airport stay with no hassle, and low cost, this is a great choice.

Good location, 5 mins to either Museum or Central stations, 15 min walk to Opera House, 10 mins to Circular Quay. Rooms are clean and well kept, staff are efficient. Didn't use the restaurant, so can't comment on that. My only real gripe (and loss of star) was the 2002-era free wifi policy. 20Mb/24Hrs, lobby only. If the hotel wants to up it's game (and earn that 5th star), then it needs to be free, unlimited in room Wifi.

Went on a guided ATV 1hr track in the mountains, had a brilliant time. Dennis was a really nice bloke. Recommended company to deal with. They seemed to cater and tailor well for all skill levels.

Fantastic location, good hotel staff, decent breakfast, free fast wifi. Hotel, whilst not on the beachfront, doesn't come with a beachfront price-tag, and it's only 1 block from the beach, right opposite the Duke statue on Waikiki. We had a mountain facing room, and whilst a little on the small side, was quiet, clean and well kept. Very pleased with our hotel pick.

There are plenty of companies offering oahu island, some of them also offering the doors off experience, these guys however are the real deal. Every detail was perfection. A very smoothly operated outfit and highly recommend.

Awful. Avoid. Worst night sleep I ever had, bed was far too soft (or broken).
