If you live in Ramona, you know San Vicente Rd will be totally redone with a bit of straightening.

The San Vicente Rd improvements will begin on the 14th.. Just a little news from the informational meeting at James Duke Elem. Monday evening..
1> Dog Tree will be preserved in its current location
2> Construction will be from 9am-3pm to avoid rush hour traffic
3> Night construction, when active, will be from 7pm on into the wee hours of the morning.
4> No stopped traffic during National Weather Service Red Flag Days.. just in case
5> Anyone with death/injury memorabilia (crosses etc) on San Vicente are asked to remove them. If they aren't the contractor will do it and store the items at the construction yard on San Vincente for a period of time for loved ones to reclaim them.
6> They will do a speed study when done but they don't think there will be an increase in the speed limit of 50mph
7> Anticipated construction time... 18 months.
It may be an inconvenience for a while but the plans show a much improved road. Although not functional yet, you might bookmark the "update" site that is being setup specifically for this project. http://sdcounty.ca.gov/dpw/roads/projects/sanvicente.html

If you were a buyer or seller in the last year, what do you wish your agent had done that they didn't do?

Going the extra mile to show properties to a client.  These are fun days when you feel like you're covering almost half the county and see a wide variety of homes and areas.  Actually it's about a quarter of the county which is almost as big as the state of Connecticut.

Here are the latest stats on real estate transaction trends for this last year in San Diego County.  It's nice to see distressed sales at much lower levels.
