I realize this is Dubai and you can have anything you want served to you on a silver platter while overlooking the world from high above the clouds. But nevermind all that. If you love Thai food. If you enjoy a good soup with coconut and shrimp, or Pad Thai, or my personal favorite that I can't get back in Amsterdam: Mango Sticky Rice. IF any of this interests you and you can't get over to Thailand but you happen to be in Dubai, what you need is Lemongrass. Lemongrass's cuisine and their stellar staff will have you in culinary heaven and probably a food coma afterwards. Which is a very good thing.

When I'm in Dubai I seek healthy, tasty cuisine combined with an ambience that is calm and interesting. Comptoir102 is the restaurant-boutique antidote for the long standing sickness of shopping malls and chain restaurants that has afflicted this city for the past decade. Tell the taxi you've changed your mind, no Dubai mall, Jumeirah Beach and the Comptoir instead!

Don't waste another minute reading reviews and surfing the net. Marta's food and her place are excellent. Go and enjoy. There's no sense in trying to read what is being served, when you get there you'll be pleasantly surprised - isn't that the best thing in life?

There are people who come from different parts of Portugal just to eat in Guimarães. Most of those people are probably thinking of the traditional fish and meat dishes that indeed the town does very well. But what they probably don't know, is that one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the country is located right there outside the castle. Not only is the food fantastic, the ambiance is so zen I did not want to leave. I want to hang out there as often as possible and I think you will too. Whatever you choose from the menu, do yourself a favor, top it all off with the tocinho do ceu dessert along with a traditional Moscatel.

I'm confused as to why more people don't eat here. For me it is part of my Dubai routine when I want peace and quiet and good food. The kitchen is small but very capable and the menu rocks my socks. If you get there and you think.. hmm no one is here.. don't let that be what keeps you from staying. Instead, enjoy the tranquility, have a seat, and order something.

It is a cute place. Service is friendly and fast. Sushi chefs seem capable but several of the maki I got simply lacked the precision and beautiful presentation that characterizes good sushi. Of course flavor is important too and BentoYa has some good flavors. After some Omlette, Futomaki, and Tuna Sushi, I finished off my meal with some decent Red Bean ice cream. It is a good modest place. I appreciate it not pretending to be fancy and posh in a city where many cater to the wealthy. If you're in town and you miss sushi, give this a try. But I must say, there is surely better sushi in the UAE.
