Nice serialisation library for Scala and ScalaJS.

What's more interesting here to me is this is one of the first projects I've come across ( and I'm starting to see more ) that are taking advantage of a) sbt's cross compile feature, originally used as a work-around for binary incompatibility among versions and b) the scala-js scala to javascript compiler.

Here we have a single source project, producing "binaries" artefacts for a range of ScalaJVM versions as well as Javascript versions, that any JS project could use ( tho to be honest, I'm not played with ScalaJS so not sure how friendly the public JS API ends up... ).

It doesn't have to be an "us versus them" world with Javascript - use what works best, where it works best ( queue the "don't use scala" comments in 3..2..1... )

Nice - more goodness for standard data formats around a common abstractions.

Wow, that's awesome news....

+Docker added to +Amazon Web Services version of app engine for automatic scaling. Kinda like managed VMs, only using reusable containers that work across platforms.

Your move, +Google Cloud Platform.

Yes, "moral hazard" I would call it. At least with docker - you can get more out of each instance on beanstalk you pay for, but yeah - no multi tenancy so very low density apps with slow response to change or scaling.

Looks like the Haskell plugin for +IntelliJ IDEA has started getting some new life in it, with support for Idea 13 along with automatic imports.

Built myself a build from source...now to try it out.

Funny that g+ auto-tagged your post with something irrelevant. #intellijidea #intellijidea13 #haskell
