I woke up to a freezing cold house this morning. My Nest thermostat somehow had switched the air conditioning on. Ghost? Hacked? Software bug?

I've been testing AppSheet for my IT business for the past few weeks and am very happy with it so far. I've got about 50 rows of data so far. When I decide to fully deploy it, I'll be adding about 1000 rows to the worksheet each year. Additionally I'll want to import my past 12 years of data.

Will I experience a significant syncing slowdown with 1000 rows? For my past years data, would performance suffer if I have all past data be in one worksheet of about 12,000 rows, or would it be better if I import it into separate years worksheets of about 1000 rows each? My main goal with the old data is to be able to search 12+ years of data to bring up information about previous appointments. I'm not sure if the search function works across multiple worksheets?

TIA.

+Mark Cobb copy 1000 and 12000 rows to you GSheet and test it what happens. Then you will find out is it a problem or not.

Goodbye Hotmail Outlook Connector. Outlook.com addresses now use the Exchange protocol. Windows Live Mail users also told to upgrade. http://www.windowscentral.com/update-required-keep-using-windows-live-mail-2012-microsoft-accounts
Microsoft is alerting Windows Live Mail users to a change coming to Microsoft accounts that will require an update to keep them compatible with the email client.

The new gigabit internet service in Reno will be AT&T's U-verse service. Unfortunately I can currently only get their 18 Mbps service, while other areas of town get up to 75 Mbps. Something tells me I won't be able to get AT&T's gigabit service. Hopefully Charter will launch comparable speeds.

I read an article in the RGJ this morning that a company is going to announce gigabit Internet in Reno tomorrow. I wonder who will it be? Google?

I just left feedback about the Charter email website:
1. Banner at top of the page takes up too much space - can't see many emails in list.
2. Downloading attachments on a Mac removes the file extension, making the attachment not openable.

Was there just an update to AppSheet? Before yesterday, dates on a list of items on my iOS device would show as "January 11, 2016" - they now show as 1/11/2016. :)

It looks like it will finally be time to jump to Windows 10 next year - along with a new Optane SSD.

Enthusiast desktops will be the first to get Intel's new class of Optane products, which could bring much faster SSDs and memory to PCs.

My family took a 2-hour ATV guided tour on the Rubicon Trail on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. My kids had never driven ATVs before. Everyone had a great time. The check-in staff and guides were professional, helpful and friendly. Will definitely do it again.

This was our first time to ride a Segway. The staff took the time to make sure we were comfortable and skilled using the personal transport before taking them to the streets. Our guide Sami was great as we traveled the streets and sidewalks of Waikiki. We made plenty of stops so that we could rest our feet, take pictures and learn about different points of historical significance. If you've never riden a Segway, Hawaii is a great place to do it. This was our favorite activity while on vacation.

We had eaten here 5 years ago on the first night of our last visit to Waikiki, and decided to come back - again on the first night of our visit. I remember the pizza being fantastic (somehow better than Round Table), and it again did not disappoint this time. My wife and daughter weren't in the mood for pizza, so they decided on pasta and soup - both which were good. I didn't remember the menu being so extensive, or the fact that they also serve breakfast - the selection is great. We may eat here for every meal of our visit :D Service was fast and friendly, and the staff was attractive too ;). We'll be back. Highly recommended.

We just finished our 3rd vacation in Hawaii, each time staying at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach. Again we were not disappointed. Now that the kids are bigger, this time we booked a city-view 1 bedroom suite. We ended up getting a partial ocean view. The room was spacious and clean. Though we expected to be able to have the kids sleep in separate beds, the suite's configuration of beds and sofa beds did not allow that. Once informing the desk of the sleeping arrangement problem, we were provided with a complimentary roll-away. Everybody was happy. The Shore Bird and other restaurant has a great view and atmosphere, but a little pricey. The buffet breakfast has a great selection and the quality is good, but the juices don't taste good and they are not cold. We're looking forward to our next visit.

After reading reviews about Roberts Hawaii and other shuttle bus providers, I decided to choose Roberts Hawaii because they appeared to be the best of the worst. Our plane landed 40 minutes early and we were pleasantly surprised to find our greeter waiting for us at the gate. After escorting us to the restrooms, we were sent down to get our luggage and met by another friendly employee who loaded our baggage on a cart, took us on a short walk to the shuttle bus then we were on our way. The time it took to get from the gate to our moving shuttle seemed like 10 minutes - very fast and efficient. There were only 3 couples on our shuttle, we were the second stop. The shuttle driver pointed out a few good places to eat nearby our hotel, and a minute later we arrived. I estimate the time from gate to hotel was 45 minutes. Very efficient despite Honolulu traffic. This company is professional. They use radios to hand you off from gate greeter to baggage helper as they direct you down the escalators to baggage claim so that we know where to go. Great job. Hopefully our shuttle back to the airport in a week goes just as smoothly. UPDATE: Our trip back to the airport was right on-time, and took 45 minutes even with a few pick-up stops along the way. Will use Roberts Hawaii for our next trip.

When my wife had a relapse of a recent sickness during our first day in Waikiki, I turned to Google to find a nearby urgent care. We knew what the problem was, and needed to get an anti-biotic to take care of the issue. Pros: Doctor Jackson was very knowledgable and took the time to talk to us and really cared about the problem and order follow-up tests. He's someone you would expect as a primary physician - not at an urgent care facility in a tourist area. Other office staff very friendly. Cons: Waiting room small, and it took over an hour to get seen by the physician. Receptionist didn't seem too knowledgable about billing and the financial part of the visit, but she was friendly. Their website seem outdated because acclaimed doctor on it doesn't appear to be still working there. However Dr. Jackson was great! Now we're back to enjoying our vacation!
