On top of everything else, now the lamps are plotting against me.

Clearly they're evil, see? That left one, especially.   Don't try to tell me those are shadows either.  How convenient.

Marvel full Phase III Announcement
Very impressive, the line up of movies, threads for the next few years from Marvel.  Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant Man.  Good clips too from Avengers II.  It's a pretty long video but stick with it - gifts at the end.  :-)

Hurray!  I'm worth about $1200!

Note: Mark Sold by weight, not by volume.

Ps - My daughter said she knew exactly what I was going to do when I took this picture.

Anyone know of a good entrepreneurial community?

I get bombarded with spam from LinkedIn from the groups I belong to there.  Looking for a group for like-minded start ups, specifically web based.  Non-scam only please.  And thank you.

Understood. I do find one or two to be particularly different than the rest, though.

Stinky Comet
Finally we are evaluating things in MY terms. That's a cool comet but.. What does it smell like???
WE’RE about to catch a comet. And it’s going to be whiffy. Scientists have for the first time found out what a comet’s tail smells like.

Followers vs. interactors
What's your experience with Google Plus and followers?  I have over three thousand, and have very little response / interaction from any of them - with the exception of a few that are active.

Any thoughts on gathering those that respond / interact?  Would make google plus a more interesting place.

Very true. As far as language, you're right. If you never post in English, why are you circling me?

Statistics say that about 50% of people over 18 are single, which means that 50% of those reading this would benefit from trying it?  If that's you, try www.onlyaglance.com and see what you think. No tricks, no nothing.  Just a labor of love, no pun intended.

Introduction
Author, Technology Consultant, Denture Wearer.  Wait, not that last one.

I'm a technology consultant by day, and when no one's looking, I write.  At this time I have four story lines, though my writing library at As Far As You Know has currently 23 stories in progress.  That's misleading as one is a journal, and one two are poetic expressions, or poems, as the Germans would say.

Click my profile picture for my secret identities.

The kind of posts to expect to see from me when you add me to your circles::

  • Technology stuff, explained in English.
  • KIndle and fiction writing stuff.
  • A response to your post when it genuinely makes my eye brow rise.
  • Very specific commentary on that stuff, with that thing.  You know.
  • Pictures of me, showing a bit o leg.

I'm not on The Facebook, I'm not on Foursquare or Twitter.  I'm on Linkedin and Google Plus.

I'm like the Doozers on Fraggle Rock, always building, especially in that, No one but the Doozers themselves seem to understand the actual purpose of their intricate and beautiful constructions.

Food is good. Staff is consistently very friendly, an amazing accomplishment for a modern restaurant/bar.

One of the few large casual dining options in downtown Milwaukee, located right on Wisconsin avenue. My daughter and I ate there recently and had we hung around, could have watched the Memorial Day parade from our seats. Outdoor dining as well. One note - no Hacker Pschorr, unlike the other Moe's location :-(

Almost always have an excellent experience there, and have become a regular. I've gotten a client hooked on their food as well. Though I am not a connoisseur of sushi, theirs is always consistent and fresh. Prices are excellent, and one of the few Japanese restaurants that offer the lunch menu and prices on the weekend. The hot & sour soup is awesome.
