Just back from Sapa - and still love the place. Yes it's changing too fast. But as you'll see in this video, the nearby villlage of Sin Chai is still a beautiful and the people are a delight.

Thanks!

Hi guys,

I've always enjoyed walking through Hanoi's French Quarter and the Ba Dinh area. Here's the first of 2 walking tours through the colonial gems of the French Quarter.

Enjoy!

[Video] So is Saigon in the middle of a long and painful transition to being a modern functional city? Or is that too optimistic? Here's some "then and now" video footage that may help answer that question. The "then" stuff was shot from my faithful Honda Cub in 1993 and 1995. The "now" stuff was shot recently from the back of Mr Thanh's 'xe om" motorcycle taxi. Pardon the inane banter on the 90's stuff! YouTube was still a long way off in 1993.

I recently uncovered some more video of Saigon, shot from the back of my Honda Cub 50 in the early 90’s.

Hey there,

If you want to see just how much Saigon has changed over the past twenty years, check out this "then and now" video I shot in the 1990s - and then recently, of some of the city's main streets.

Is the city getting better? Depends who you ask.

Enjoy.

A camera test goes wrong on Sydney's Bondi beach. Don't enjoy my pummelling too much! Mark

The cable car to #Vietnam's highest peak is controversial and it's redefining tourism to #Sapa. Last week, we checked it out.

A cable car to Vietnam’s highest peak, Mount Fansipan, opened in early 2016.

Just returned to Sapa for the first time in three years. How it's changing! In this video, I scale Vietnam's highest peak, Fansipan, by cable car!

Mix your visit to Saigon with a heritage Airbnb stay? Check out these apartments in the Nguyen Van Hao building.

Hey there. Just spent some time on Saigon's Nguyen Hue walking street. Great scene there each evening.
Cheers,
