[Video] “ I love Hue. It may be silent in terms of historical narrative. But there’s an atmosphere to the place that can’t be silenced. You can feel the history, the drama and the tragedy. "
Next year marks 50 years since the Tet Offensive and the Battle of Hue. Last month we went to Hue in search of traces of one of the major events of the second half of the twentieth century.

[Video] Remember the Saigon rooftop featured in Hugh van Es's iconic image from the US evacuation on 29 April 1975? It symbolised so much. Last Friday I went back up there with US historian and author Larry Berman.

From one of Vietnam's most luxurious, rustic resorts, to a high-end backpacker dorm that charges more than 70US a night, Ninh Van Bay is changing. So far it's making the most of the natural beauty of its surrounds and resisting the call to concrete and steel that has degraded other parts of Vietnam's coastline. But a visit will cost you a pretty penny. We just returned for a look. Check out our update. #Vietnam #nhatrang #ninhvanbay #resorts #beach #luxury #luxurytravel

Just back from Sapa - and still love the place. Yes it's changing too fast. But as you'll see in this video, the nearby villlage of Sin Chai is still a beautiful and the people are a delight.

Thanks!
