Story
Introduction

I am the Director of Studies of CELT Athens where I train teacher of English as a foreign language. At CELT, I am responsible for the design and implementation of all the programmes offered.

Educational Background

My main qualifications related to teaching are the  RSA Diploma in TEFLA (DTEFLA), a precursor to the Cambridge DELTA Diploma, and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Reading in the UK.

Involvement & Experience in Teacher Education Programmes

My  involvement in Teacher Development Programmes started at the Hellenic American Union where I ran workshops for  colleagues and State School Teachers, then  with Longman Publications running numerous training seminars all over Greece.

From 1982 to 1989, I trained teachers  for the
Pagoulatou-Vlachou's schools in Athens, Greece. During that period I also collaborated with the PALSO Federation (Panhellenic Association of Foreign Language School Owners), designing and running the first series of organised courses for language schools owners and their teachers in Greece.

From 1989-1993 I ran CELT with partners, training teachers and teaching adults on general and ESP courses, and as of September1993, I have been running CELT Athens of which I am the proprietor, training teachers of English and supporting Diploma in Translation candidates.

CELT Athens is an Authorised Cambridge Teaching Awards Centre and we offer international TEFL courses as well as the Cambridge CELTA Certificate and DELTA Diploma courses.

Publications

So far I have written materials for children (Basic Grammar Workbooks 1, 2, & 3 published by English Schoolbook Publications), activity books for Cambridge Exams set texts, and numerous articles on Language, Foreign Language Teaching and Education.
