Sound advice from +Amanda Williams
Solo female travel is often assumed to be inherently dangerous. But I'm a woman and I've been traveling alone for years. And I'm not afraid.

Wise words. Travel writers aren't paid to travel; they're paid to evaluate, recommend, and curate.

Wise words indeed. A great travel writer is one who researches and compiles really useful independent consumer advice that has an impact on improving a traveller's experience.

It's not about writing nice things about the hotel that paid for your stay and brutally honest reviews are often the most useful as they advise travellers what to avoid so they can spend more time enjoying incredible travel experiences.

User generated content is great, but the consistent voice of a professional travel writer is often the best way to sort the great experience from the overrated.
