The School of Nursing at Marian University, established in 1977,
provides opportunities for students to participate in direct care of
patients across the lifespan and in a variety of clinical settings. The
BSN program at Marian University builds on the liberal arts foundation.
As students attain competencies in social and cultural awareness, they
learn technical and assessment skills that combine to provide holistic
care for their patients.
The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in
Nursing (ABSN) is designed for students who have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a discipline other than nursing. The program operates at sites in Indianapolis and Nashville. In this hybrid program, students take courses online, participate in faculty-supervised hands-on work in state-of-the-art
simulation labs and complete clinicals that refine their competencies.
Graduates of the program receive a BSN degree from Marian University.
They are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN to become a registered nurse and are also able to apply for graduate programs.
