Is it possible for a  "younger" to duplicate the calendar .. make it his own... and add relatives/important folks from his 'different' relatives from those included? Add his names but not change my calendar?
DearREADERS, As long as we're on the topic of building rapport with the younger generation, how about building a Google Calendar with significant ancestral dates? Better yet, include births and anniversaries of living generations to add to the fun! This short video demonstrates how.

Not sure how to get to be a part of the communities that I joined or how to get them in my profile. Where and how do I do this?
Marianne

So, you wanna join this community ? - Before you request to JOIN please take a few minutes to look are YOUR Public Profile on Google+. Google+ Communities are a place for US to Share our Common Interests. I look at each and every Request to Join Profile and I expect to see what interests you have with this community.

You can look all you want, but to post or to make a comment in the community, WE must share a common interest. In this case, Genealogy, Family History, the Family Tree Maker program or any other genealogy software. I need that hint in YOUR profile to let me know why I should accept your request to join.

Thanks for listening

Russ

Does this also work for the iPad or just on the phone?  Thanks
Google Apps makes it easy to access your Gmail, Drive, and Calendars from a mobile device. However, if you need to access your entire desktop on the go, until recently, you were out of luck and would have to wait ..more ›

Sorry, I don't do facebook for this type of work.

I could hold "Office Hours" and do this in this community with you.

If you would and to do a Hangout "Office Hours" let me know when you would want to do that.

I also have a number of blog posts on this very topic. Since you are using FTM-3, its very close to FTM2014.

52 Ancestors #2 Week 37 Where in the world is Uncle Moritz?
As a child how everyone was related was not of interest to me. They were family. We saw them on holidays and family events. Why we were all at the same events was not a question I asked. By the time our family history bug bit it was to late to ask questions...

52 Ancestors: #1 ( really #35) - Finding a Great-Aunt.... online
As you may have noticed, Genealogy, in its many forms, has changed my life and my feelings about retirement. No Story To Small has created a challenge I cannot resist. Each week participants write a SMALL story about one family member and share it in the 52...

We read this in our book club and we had a great discussion about all the implications of what happened to young people. Wish I could have had your resources to share then... but will share with our group now.

That's great Marianne! I hope the resources help. I've found a couple more since I posted this, people have reached out to me. I will need to publish an updated post with more information soon. Such an interesting and heartbreaking event.

Wife, mother, grandmother, teacher of kids, teacher of teachers, and then retired - the hardest part of all
Introduction
Oh, that terrible first year after retirement!! I am sure some of you know the feeling. For others it was probably wonderful. My blog, Life After Retirement, is where I tell the stories of early years, after retirement  that I hope will  help those who follow us who have had this experience in the new world of Retirement - Reinvention - Reconnection.

A new world since retiring has come along. I am now in a bookclub, a Torah study group, Co-Pres and former Treasurer of my stock club, a novice genealogist, a digital scrapper and, still, a Maccie at heart. I follow education blogs, Apple info, Twitter and Pinterest, sporadically (not often enough) write in by blog at DrGranma.blogspot.com. And to think I worried what I would do after I retired.
