I sadly neglected my crocheting blog last year, but I hope to get back to it in 2017.

By the time I went out for a walk yesterday, it was starting to rain. Not much chance of taking a decent photo for my photo-a-week challenge. I'd been busy all week and I hadn't seen anything to inspire me.

I took two photos, but they were both terrible straight out of the phone. I did the best I could with this one. It has now been straightened and I removed a couple of intruding twigs from the foreground before giving it a slight crop and turning it to monochrome to give a mysterious look.

Merry Christmas! In keeping with the extremely wet weather we've been having, this will have to do in lieu of a snowy winter scene. It was snapped with my phone from the train heading home on Wednesday. The flooded fields are somewhere near Welshpool.

At last I have time to crochet again and to update my blog about the things I have been unravelling and the things I have been making.

Dear G+ user (who won't see this because they are now blocked).

Abusing the "share directly with" feature will not get me to follow you, it will just make me cross and irritable. I might take the trouble to ask you nicely to stop, but on the other hand, if I'm cranky because I've just had the busiest and most stressful week of the academic year, I won't bother and will just report you for abuse and block you.

What would happen if we all shared everything directly with people we wanted to follow us? It would make the notification system useless.

Yours
