Zbudowałem elektronicznego masterminda. Diody zamówione hurtem z Chin, LEDami sterują dwa SCT2024, "mózgiem" jest Atmega168, całość zmontowana w oryginalnej "obudowie" z Krajowej Agencji Wydawniczej.

"Statically typed languages are often seen as a relic of the past – old and clunky. Looking at languages such as C and Java, we’re used to writing down a lot of information in a program that just declares certain variables to be of certain types. And what do we get in return? Not all that much. (...) However, I want to argue that we shouldn’t be too keen on giving up the advantages of static types, and instead start using programming languages that get static typing right."

I must say, that for me, transition from Javascript to TypeScript was very smooth, which probably suggests that the way I write in Javascript is "mostly typeable". The only places where I have to struggle with typechecker are the places where I retrieve an element from DOM and I know that it is for sure HTMLInputElement, but the typechecker insists on more general HTMLElement. I suspect that it has to be a problem in every language which wants to be a "tie" between two worlds (client and server, DOM and model, CSS and HTML) and there is some domain-specific knowledge in the head of author which has to be explicitly provided to the compiler. One see that as an advantage and occassion to make sure that this knowledge is documented and verified. I see it as a bit of hassle. Also, I had a lot of occassions to contemplate why the hell I prefer to write some small scripts in shitty PHP instead of say C++. And the answer is probably: hashtables, and the ability to quickly iterate when debugging reveals that I need to add a new "field", or whole "substructure" to one of elements, etc. Most of such ad-hoc scripts also have "ad-hoc" data-structures, and I am not sure if type inference can really help with that, as it often tends to find "minimum common denominator" of all elements in the array, or introduce some "case classes" etc, for trivial things.

Znakomite miejsce do zrelaksowania się w gronie znajomych. Ładny wystrój, miła obsługa, dobra herbata. I glonojady w akwarium.

One of the best places to learn computer science in Poland. If you want to learn more than just mindless coding in mainstream languages - come there! And the building itself is quite nice, too.
