When someone talks about the advantages of video blogging for your author platform does your heart start to race with that how-am-I-going-to-find-time-to-learn-another-new-thing feeling? First you’d have to figure out what technology you need, then you’d have to buy it, and then you’d have to learn how to use it.

So I went into Transformers: Age of Extinction (movie #4) not expecting much. I only went because my husband loves the special effects and REALLY wanted to see them on the big screen.
And then I had to eat crow. Nicely roasted and basted with a raspberry-chipotle sauce of course, but crow nonetheless.

If you want to be a writer, the most difficult challenge you’ll face comes when someone you love says one of the following things about your writing career:
“You need to start making better decisions.”
“It’s time you grew up and acted like a responsible adult.”

Alongside my own writing, I work as a freelance editor. (Check out my editing services here.) You can find me blogging about writing on Wednesdays/Thursdays and about the place where real life meets science fiction, fantasy, and myth on Mondays and Fridays Because Fantasy Is More Real Than You Think…I'm the proud wife of a former U.S. Marine, I own seven cats and a dog who weighs as much as I do, and I play World of Warcraft and the flute (not at the same time). Sadly, I'm also addicted to coffee and jelly beans.
