Recently, I wrote about the Top 5 #CyberSecurity companies to join in December, 2015. That time I talked about +radwareinc +CloudFlare +OpenDNS (part of +Cisco) Authy (part of +Twilio API) & Duo Security. Now, I added two new companies to the list: Tanium & +OktaInc. Check it out here: https://dataddict.wordpress.com/2016/01/26/two-cyber-security-companies-to-join-in-2016/

+Sundar Pichai+Urs Hölzle and Diane Green (I didn´t find her G+ account), first congratulations for these exciting news. I know that every product where Diane is involved, it´s awesome, but if you are thinking in the long term dominance of #Cloud  business, you should take one bold move:
- Native support for #IPv6 : You have your infrastructure prepared for this transition, but I was wondering why you are so late in this game: If you analyze other competitors: AWS, Rackspace, SoftLayer, they don´t have a lot of services with support for IPv6; so this could be an advantage for +Google Cloud Platform, and with the last announcement from Apple about the support for IPv6 for all iOS apps, this trend will just in an ascending road.

What do you think?

Alert processing is a key part of server monitoring. From triggering webhooks to sending emails and SMS, this is where all the magic happens.

This hangout will be a technical discussion with the Server Density ops and engineering teams going behind the scenes of how we use Python, Kafka, Zookeeper and Storm to process billions of events a day.

It will be based on the writeup at https://blog.serverdensity.com/server-alerts-a-step-by-step-look-behind-the-scenes/ and the tech specs diagram at https://www.serverdensity.com/tech-specs/ and go into topics such as:

1) How we deploy Kafka, Zookeeper and Storm for maximum performance and availability.

2) How all the different components tie together to ensure events are processed correctly.

3) How we deal with failures and maintenance.

4) How we measure and monitor the 150ms processing SLA
This Hangout On Air is hosted by Server Density. The live video broadcast will begin soon.
