GPS Navigation 0.23 released! uNAV is available now into the #ubuntuphone Store.
Now you'll have:
 * A great UI:
  - With a complete system integration.
  - Nice and more consistent menus.
  - Add/Delete favorites in the Ubuntu way (slide left/right).
  - Fullscreen option.
  - Integrated zoom controls.
 * Maps from Mapbox
 * Fixed: Store new favorites.

I want to say a huge thank you to Joerg Berroth (https://launchpad.net/~joergberroth) for his work migrating to QML! Thanks mate!

Enjoy it!

+Marcos Costales  Its a known problem...it's one of the reasons why osm is changing its color scheme with one more country independent (it's a GSOC project ) Imho  it's a good change in the app and it is the right choice especially if the app has an international audience.
Indeed I was not referring to the road color but to the contrast between the white over the light grey backgroud and  the other elements colors over that background. probably a more prominent background color would help, but I have not done any testing

I hear you say "Why?" Always "Why?" You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?"

+Marcos Costales only one thing.... not everyone ask "why?".... some of us ask "how?" which is much more interesting than a simple "why"??? ;-)

My new app is a version of OpenCycleMap for #ubuntuphone and it is available now into the Store.

Maps designed for cyclists, showing cycle paths and infrastructure.

Of course, all the credits for #opencyclemap and +OpenStreetMap, because without them, the digital 'world' would not be the same :))

The next GPS Navigation release (maybe this weekend) for #ubuntuphone will be amazing! With a migration to QML (by Joerg Berroth) and a migration to +MapBox

The app will look really nice :D Cheers!

If you want to test it, please, give me your feedback:

 Hi +Mitchell Reese
> Still testing, here's some initial feedback:

Appreciate! :))

> When going into settings or navigation screen, returning to the map sometimes makes it go black.

This is because the map needs rotation, then, the map is a webview yet. The UI is QML. This QML <---> HTML channel will allow a way for offline route library and then, offline (vector) maps.

> Hiding the navigation bar could be expanded.

It's a GPS Navigation, I think the navigation panel is need.
But for next releases I'd like to do an improvement: Until now it's like a Tomtom, you get a position, then the position is forced by default. I want to change to something as OSMTouch without navigation panel, when you search, the navigation will start and the panel will appear :)

> Tapping different icons could show more information. Tapping the navigation signs on the left hand side could switch to the destination

I was thinking in: click car = show complete route. click signs = show your complete route in text.

> Vector maps would be better

Replied in first issue :)

> In settings, the menu items are white, while the options are grey. This works until you go to choose another option (I.e., Units Menu, Kilometers option), and the other options are white, like the menus. This is very confusing, and looks less slick. The menus either need further differentiation, or the options need to also be grey, with a checkmark next to the one that's chosen.

I'll take a look, but I think that is standard with the QML ListItem.ItemSelector

> In Australia (and many part of the world), we don't call fuel Gas. This is mainly American. Here we call it Petrol, or fuel. Fuel would likely be more generic for English, or 'Service Stations'.

Generic English by default :) You can translate it here :)

> When the app starts up, the black navigation details at the bottom of the screen don't reach all the way across on my BQ 4.5. Would be cool to leave it like this, and have an arrow on the right hand side of the black bar that makes it disappear into the left hand side of the screen, with another arrow to bring it out again. While its useful, there are lots of times when I'd rather have a larger map, than the details of my jourmey.

This will be fixed with a future update, when it will be more a map with navigation app, than a navigation app :)

>Hope the above is useful - awesome work!!!

Yes :D Thanks a lot!
