Hello folks! I am proud to announce that my aREST library is now compatible with the ESP8266 WiFi chip! You can now get a completely autonomous $5 WiFi system that will respond to RESTful commands via WiFi.

You can find more details inside the GitHub repository of the project (https://github.com/marcoschwartz/aREST) and also check the aREST website at http://arest.io/. Enjoy!

Hello folks! As an entrepreneur, I usually get the same question a lot: so Marco, what is it that you do exactly? Well, I tried to answer this question in a short essay on my personal website. Feedback appreciated!

Tech Entrepreneur. Electrical Engineer. Author. Blogger.
Introduction
My philosophy:
My main goal in life is to become my best self, and help others achieve the same. I read and learn as much as I can about lifestyle design, and try to implement every bit in my everyday life. I am also deeply concerned about how to live a healthy lifestyle, caring a lot about how I eat and about doing sports on a regular basis

What I do now:
As an engineer and entrepreneur I like to always experiment and create new things. I am active in the field of open-source hardware, in particular in home automation & robotics. I studied electrical engineering and more recently neuromorphic engineering, which consists in designing system that are inspired by the human brain.

My passions:
I spend a lot of time in my two main passions : traveling and photography. I traveled a lot in Europe, spent some weeks in Australia and California, and lived in New Zealand & Canada. I combine this passion for travels with photography, which is something I really love doing.
