My thoughts inspired by this painting.
1. Stay Still and appreciate, smile, be grateful, cheer, admire, love.
2. If you see something wrong THEN get up and fix it. Go to #1
3. If you cannot fix it right away THEN go to #1
4. If you fixed it THEN go to #1
5. if you find that criticism, judgement, negativity, anger, unhappiness is suddenly running inside of you, THEN drop it like it's HOT and go to #1
6. Go to #1
7. Go to #1
.
.
999. Go to #1

Where to start habit changes in your life?

I brought my business partner Caledon (my son) to join me in this video.
How important it is to understand that the real work consists of making changes in our environment.

There's nothing wrong with us. All of us are seeds of the same tree, growing in a different environment and this makes us giving different fruits.

What makes a healthy diet in our 50s

Those cliches that ruled us since we were born... Those beliefs we grew up with are keeping us from returning to a more natural way to feed our bodies.

What I call "Small stupid changes that will make a huge difference" are going to save us.

Sections of our daily lives can be replaced with new good habits.

Food and Health Industries

Here’s the point…
Demand and offer. What do we want? Well, we want magic pills and miraculous therapies, where we enter inside a machine and we come out healed and strong.
This is what we want, and then, hospitals give us what we want.
Even though most doctors try to address patients to change their diet, there’s an expectation from the patient’s side, that diet takes too much effort and habit change (resistance to modifying our own environment.)
We all want healthy foods, but when it comes to instant gratification, we just choose to believe that the label “Low Calories” on the frozen meal we just bought is good enough to be okay with our conscious. At that point becomes more important the good taste of what we eat than what it does to our bodies after been digested.

There’s a power in us that will change our own world from the inside out.

Well? What about willpower, determination, resolution, self-control, self-discipline, goal setting, etc?
Beautiful words my friends. And I am not being sarcastic.
These are wonderful characteristics of someone’s habits… but here there’s something missing that gives the impulse to all those behaviors. Something is missing that, really, gives energy to all these amazing habits that a human being can demonstrate.
Not only humans. We observe these qualities in all organisms; from the ameba to the blue whale, from the little ant to the African elephant.
Those creatures and all of us, at a certain point, under certain circumstances, act with determination, apply willpower, act with resolution and self-discipline and make decisions.

Changing Eating Habits - All about the journey and not the destination.

It's all about changing environment... our efforts have to be directed to things around us that help us change bad habits.

It is not about fighting against temptation.

THE BOILING FROG - Losing our health happens so gradually in some cases...

The boiling frog is a parable describing a frog being slowly boiled alive. The premise is that if a frog is put suddenly into boiling water, it will jump out, but if the frog is put in tepid water which is then brought to a boil slowly, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death. The story is often used as a metaphor for the inability or unwillingness of people to react to or be aware of threats that arise gradually.

While some 19th-century experiments suggested that the underlying premise is true if the heating is sufficiently gradual, according to contemporary biologists the premise is false: a frog that is gradually heated will jump out. Indeed, thermoregulation by changing location is a fundamentally necessary survival strategy for frogs and other ectotherms. [Wikipedia]

Fear of Scenarios or Inner-Out Environment Changes

All of us want change, we want external change, we want good results… but the problem with humans is this: the “story” of ourselves is the FALSE identity that is AUTONOMOUSLY alive. Our FALSE identity FEARS change.

The false identity will fight you to death to stay the way it is. Unconsciously, you don’t want to change, if you decided to “nurture” that identity of “who you think you are.”
