Okay, I’m calling it: if you’re using guest blogging as a way to gain links in 2014, you should probably stop. Why? Because over time it’s become a more and more spammy practice, and if you’re doing a lot of guest blogging then you’re hanging out with really bad company.
Face it, nobody likes to be sold and nobody wants to make a bad decision, buyers remorse sucks. The sales process seems more like dating a girl that plays hard to get. Think about it, the sales rep tries to close the sale & the prospect pushes back and objects with, “I have to think about it.” Sometimes an objection is a genuine concern and sometimes it is complete B.S. With that in mind, I think It is time to think about how we object, respond & make smarter buying decisions.

I like to look at things differently, I always have.
From an early age I questioned authority, not because I wanted to be disrespectful, but because by nature I am curious. I look at things from outside the box and work backwards to find a better solution to problems that have already been solved. (Experience has taught me that the experts aren’t always correct.)
Sales and marketing is really nothing more than communicating and relating, once you understand “who” your audience is “you will then be able to figure out “how” to connect with them.
The biggest challenge for anybody tasked with marketing a product, service or business is making sure that the message is geared to a real person. I think that sometimes we forget about that. In most sales organizations people are referred to as, clients, prospect, customers, appointments, tire kickers, decision makers and gatekeepers. In marketing departments they are called demographics and target markets. Maybe if we replaced marketing departments with “human engagement departments” our mission would be focused more on communicating with people instead of marketing at targeted demographics.
