I'm not using LinkedIn this effectively for my nonprofit nor my career. Are you?

Great quote on the image.

Sometimes people surprise us by not understanding why we want to volunteer. That's ok. If you love what you do, keep doing it!

I love success stories from "accidental fundraisers." That's why I love this post from my friend +Renee Tougas about how her family was able to run a successful Kickstarter campaign that went 119% of goal!

Speaker's due diligence: The weather is wonky so I got to the airport really early to fly standby on earlier flights to DC. 1 was cancelled; another delayed.

So just made a couple calls and know I have Amtrak & rental car options. Just in case.

Speaking is sexy. :)8

+Shanon Doolittle & Vanessa Chase just launched The Stewardship School!

I love that they're turning their talents to helping nonprofits retain donors. This could be the single most important focus for your nonprofit.

Check out all you'll get in this multi-week course and stop losing money now: http://buff.ly/1jv4GG4

Android users: Is there a way to clip web pages from Chrome to Evernote?

The Evernote app just clips the URL, so you need to RE-clip it from the desktop.

One sure said the EverClip app does this. But that gets mixed reviews...

“Rolling everyone up in a national organization resulted in fewer donors, not more, and resulted in less financial stability, not more,”

Love this.

Good reminder that Jesus wasn't an evangelical!
I walked this path years ago: it is not an easy path. But there are a lot of us out here waiting for you. Can we ever really leave our mother church? Perhaps not. The complexity of tangled up roots isn’t easily undone. And yes, I think there is a way to reclaim and redeem …

Dedicated to making it ridiculously easy to get fundraising training
Introduction
An international fundraising trainer, Marc A. Pitman is the author of Ask Without Fear!® and founder of FundraisingCoach.com, a website dedicated to practical ideas for fundraising more effectively.

Marc’s experience also includes planting and pastoring a Vineyard church, managing a gubernatorial campaign, teaching internet marketing at Thomas College and co-creating 100 Donors in 90 Days.

He is the husband of his best friend and the father of three amazing kids. And if you see him drive by, he’ll probably be singing 80’s tunes loud enough to embarrass his family.

Marc can be reached at marc@fundraisingcoach.com or at (800) 694-7430. You can sign up for his free bi-weekly email newsletter focused on nonprofit fundraising by visiting: http://fundraisingcoach.com/subscribe/

On Google+, he also has a FundraisingCoach.com page and an Ask Without Fear! page.
