Beautiful sunset, warm weather and chickens.
When I met with Alana and Eric at their home in the Haight in San Francisco for their engagement session, they invited me into their backyard to see if there were any photo opportunities there. They immediately pointed out that their landlord had chickens in the back, too, so when they asked if we should take pictures with the chickens, I said heck yeah! Instantly, I knew that the rest of their engagement session was going to be fun...

Not to humblebrag, but I started strength training about 8 weeks ago, and now the suits I wore to all my weddings last year barely fit. This could be a problem. New suits aren't cheap!

Doing a little street photography...

Guy: Oh, man, can you please delete that?

Me: I can't. It's film.

Guy: Who does that anymore?

It was a beautiful and warm weekend in San Francisco, which worked out perfectly for Alana and Eric's #engagement session in Fort Funston, where it can normally get very foggy and overcast. It certainly didn't feel like February!

We received service on a Kenmore washer that took no more than 5 minutes to complete. All the technician did was bypass a safety switch the shuts off the spin cycle if the washer lid is opened. 5 minutes. How much did A1 charge for that task? $228. Two-hundred and twenty-eight dollars. That is HALF of the cost of the washer itself! All just to kill one wire. Moreover, we were charged an additional $45 just 10 days later in what they admit to be a mistake, which just goes to show how careful they are in running their business. But what really drives home the experience of this whole thing is the woman who answered the phone. The level of unprofessionalism was mind-numbing. Not only did she accuse us of trying to commit fraud by questioning the charges, she also went on to insult us by saying, "I remember the day you called for this service to be done, and you were practically crying on the phone and twisting our arm to come out there." The cherry on top was when she reminded me that they waived the $75 consultation fee for having the technician come and inspect the problem. Buying a new washer would have been preferable to the headaches this company gave us.
