If you are a software developer, you should watch this from beginning to end.

If you are not a software developer, you should watch the first few minutes and the last five minutes. (Or watch it all if you want the full experience :)

I stumbled on this while doing some reading on ideas of current interest to me and I am so glad I did. I just kept finding myself thinking "Yes! This!" I believe I mentioned publicly somewhere recently that I had been reading an essay written in 1992 about the history of Smalltalk by one of its inventors; the number of tie-ins and call-backs between this presentation and that essay was pretty astounding. The message is there if we wish to hear it.

Oh, great! Now we've got biodegradable drones!

Researchers at NASA's Ames Research Center in California have created a biodegradable drone:

http://youtu.be/0R_JsnXN3NI?t=33m13s

The bio-drone prototype is made of a fungus called mycelium. and its covered cellulose sheets grown in the lab using bacteria. The electronic circuits were printed in silver nanoparticle ink.

The propellers and battery are pretty standard, and won't biodegrade.

The team is working on the creation of sensors using e Coli bacteria.

If you haven't visited lately, or ever, please do stop by. Here's what I like best about this city on Route 66.

I had the brown ale which tasted like leftover coffee grounds soaked in water. The brown ale was the worst beer I have ever had. However, I can ignore that because I came to eat and luckily they had a nice selection of beer besides their own. I ordered the Monte Cristo Porchetta for $12. The waitress notified me that they do not have porchetta and ham would be used instead. The sandwich was edible. The french toast had a decent texture and good flavor. The cheese was very mild and almost unnoticeable. The ham was very poor quality and lacking in quantity. The Ancho Chile WIld Berry was okay but far too little of it was delivered. Overall, I was very disappointed in the slow service, awful beer, and overpriced food.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lindsey Blessing for almost a year now. I sit in front of a computer for most of my waking life. Not only does Dr. Blessing help alleviate my pain she helps me prevent the injury from happening again by suggesting corrective actions. Dr. Blessing is always professional, kind, and non-judgmental to my poor lifestyle choices. I keep coming back because she has been consistently successful with every treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Blessing.
