Stasis is an epic looking point & click with seemingly excellent plot and AAA level cut scenes. While the gameplay is no better than the next point & click it's certainly an experience to see this game.

The Long Dark is a first person survival simulation set in the aftermath of a geomagnetic disaster (I’m not exactly sure what that is either), full of wintery wilderness vistas and painful ways to die.

When the going gets tough, sometimes the tough like to take a break and enjoy the relative peace and quiet of make-believe worlds. As much as you’d like to make your problems disappear in a whirlwind of flame, that just isn’t feasible (or remotely legal) in the physical world. Enter: this fantastical menagerie totally works as a substitute for all your stress-reducing needs.

If you're into infinite games with simple controls this may interest you, but it won't hold your attention for long due to its lack of difficulty and achievements. A decent 1st game by 3 students though.

The Cat Lady (TCL) – if you‘re imagining the crazy woman from The Simpsons, you‘re mostly right. This indie adventure game developed by Harvester Studios (or Remigiusz Michalski) explores the wonderful life of the main character Susan Ashworth.

Ever get the feeling that something, by all rights, should be easy, but the moment you try it on for size you get completely stumped? It’s awesome, isn’t it? Don’t get too discouraged when it comes to these games – they’re simple from the outset and nefarious beneath the surface.

Post-human survival games are frequently frantic, desperate struggles against the surprising number of still existing humans. They tend to be full of ruin and madness and bitter trials of life. Eidolon, released at the start of this month, takes post-humanity into a decidedly more sedate direction.

It’s a sign that I should exercise my brain more often when computing strings of logic makes my head hurt. In the interest of sharpening up, here’s a couple puzzlers to re-solidify the goop that’s potentially sitting between your ears as well.

Super Smash Bros. with none of the drama and simpler controls. Pil is a currently in development, a fighter/platformer with familiar gameplay, but an original style. Set to release late 2014.

Warframe is a third-person shooter with a couple of MMO elements attached to it. Each frame has four different abilities it can equip, which act very much like spells or skills in any MMO.
