WELL... we are home from the Spartan Race and it was hard day... but excited to have done it. #EmbracetheSuck has a whole new meaning after today. The Spartan Sprint was 3.5+ miles... the plus actually turned out to being 5.5 MILES! I knew there were be some obstacles that I would just "burpee out of" knowing that I would not be able to complete it. The temp was 45 with probaby 15- 20 MPH winds... sleet/ hail... horrible terrain... but it was a GREAT DAY for me personally. I fought through cramps in my calves from mile 4 to the finish. My unofficial time litterally is 1 hour and like 2- 3 mins [1:03] for the entire course.
The excites me even more because my first obstacle course race in March did not compare to this... was 3.5 miles and I did in 1:05. Thanks to my boy Zach Lanham for going out to almost every obstacle and cheering me on & getting pics and my best friend Emily Brown Lanham for just being there cheering me on today. Missed ya Jaycie-Leigh!

Faith Workout: Who Do You Say that I Am?
So I have been doing CrossFit for the past year and really love it. I am moving to West Virginia in a few weeks and the closest CrossFit box is 30 mins in the opposite direction from my work and home so we are putting in a home gym. We just realized that we are going to be limited in our overhead space so many of the things we had planned to do with free weights will be out the window for the time being.
With all that said, I am looking at creating a home gym that we are planning on having sandbags, kettlebells, POTENTIALLY TRX straps, slamballs, different sized tires, I will have a ruck to train with also. What are some other thoughts to have for a home gym that will do CrossFit inspired WODS consistently?
