This image of Bullo River was taken flying back to Bullo River Station in the far north of Australia's Kimberley. Incredibly low light and the final image is kind of a miracle  in a way, but that's a story for another day.

Pentax 645z, 120mm prime.

A weekend of rain, clouds and cold meant only one thing - waterfalls in the Blue Mountains. This is an unnamed waterfall downstream from Empress Falls, unseen from most people trekking along the 'Wentworth track' between Conservation Hut and the base of Wentworth Falls. A little tricky to get to but worth it.

I stood at this spot for about 30 minutes wondering about how best to record this the falls, in the end I spotted this beautiful fern clinging to a moss covered rock and felt this added balance.

This image was captured with my tilt shift lens which allowed the fern in the foreground to be composed naturally with the water flowing in the background. There was a slight breeze and the fern is blurred, I captured a number of other exposures with higher iso which kept the fern sharp with the intention of exposure blending, but I actually prefer the movement, it's more natural.

A mid-morning visit to one of Sydney's picturesque northern beaches - Turimetta beach to check out whether recent storms had uncovered this rock feature. I thought B&W may work better given the lack of daylight colours.

I don't get the Lee Big Stopper out very often, preferring to be out early or late in the day, but it came out for this.

It's been hot, VERY hot in the Australian cities this week, this is taken in Manly, Sydney at a secret location - this shot includes the "other pools" of Sydney. #Manly   #Sydney   #sunset
