The Alameda Mini Maker Faire has opened up applications for maker presenters and exhibitors! (The actual Faire will be on July 8th.)

Hi Maker Educators!

Do you have a maker-related New Year's Resolution?

Tell us about it in the comments! We're putting together a blog post and we'd love to feature responses from our community members.

Thanks!

One of our recent blog posts is about growing & building maker education in the Midwest: http://makered.org/blog/growing-maker-education-in-the-midwest-a-making-spaces-story/

Anybody have additional stories or insights they'd like to share around making in Title I schools or Midwest & rural areas? We'd love to hear from you!

We're excited to get many of our classroom teachers involved in Maker Corps sites together at the same time to brainstorm a little about how to take things learned and experienced in Maker Corps back into the classroom this fall. This will be an informal call that will likely last between 45 minutes and an hour.

Feel free to drop into this informal convening for as long as you can. Open Make Sessions are a great way to get to know Maker Corps members and supervisors from different sites, share project ideas and facilitation tips, ask questions, or just say hello! This one we'll specifically focus on discussing how your participation in Maker Corps has gone this summer, and any feedback you have on what's gone well and what you'd like to see different.
