I have no idea *how* I/we got onto their call list but this organization has been calling my home business for years. Interestingly, not once have they left a single voice mail message which seems like a waste of time and certainly a poor use of man power. It's a disruptive annoyance and waste of time for me. I have not answered the phone in a decade due to the enormous increase in telemarketing calls, scams and hacks. At least this group is honest enough to have their organization listed on Caller ID. However, not knowing who, what or why they keep calling me (the calls stopped for a while) I tracked down the number via www.800Notes where anyone can attain info. about unfamiliar numbers listed on Caller ID, where I found numerous complaints about robo-calls and unsolicited human callers coming in from this organization. That said, MAIN ST HOST, if I need of your services, I know how to reach you, otherwise, your number is blocked - yer burnt.

Watch out - they are good salesmen and they promise the best in SEO, but simply put, "Don't buy into it." BEWARE

Just got a "random" voicemail from this company and at the end of it, they said "it's a wrap" like the vm was planned. I'm a blogger and work in social media, so I'm not sure this was a random call. My phone number isn't listed.

I wish I had done my homework. They are not doing what they promised. They were recommended to me and I am not happy with the service and have not seen any results.

Glen, We're very sorry to hear you're less than satisfied. I was able to dig into your account at a very high level, and see that you've been working with Mainstreethost for a little over one month now. From what I can see, everything looks to be on pace and doesn't seem to be delayed. I’ll be able to obtain more detailed information when our offices open back up on Monday. I received the email you sent in this morning and will reach back out to you shortly. I’ll address a couple of things here. Without getting into too much detail (I'll provide more in my response to your email), your first month of working with Mainstreethost is used to complete foundational type of work, including, but not limited to: setups, benchmarking, analysis, and strategy. Of course, much of what we deem necessary throughout this time period is influenced heavily by your existing website (current design, past digital marketing efforts, analytics, preexisting business info.) and the amount of time we're able to allocate based on the budget we were given. In my personal opinion, the more thought we put into the initial strategy and foundational development, the better off we're going to be moving forward. Again, depending on the website / business we’re working with, insignificant results in the first 30 days is not out of the ordinary. You should have received an informational document at some point with a timeline of events that covers what will be done and when. In case you didn’t, here’s a link to the document I’m referencing http://www.mainstreethost.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/2015-Mainstreethost-Digital-Media-Kit-NP.pdf. You can find the information on page 15. I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Have a great weekend. These guys are full of crap. There salesman are idiots, What they are doing must be easy or illegal because they were to deathly afraid to explain to me how they were going to rank my site. I would never use an SEO company that couldn't explain what the were going to do. Shady. 3/26/15 -I am editing my review to reflect the fact that a Main Street Host representative reached out to me and addressed my issues with the sales staff. As my issue was entirely with the sales staff, that in no way reflects on the technical staff and the ability of Main Street Host to rank sites. When and if we decide to use them for SEO we will let the world know how they perform.

Walter, Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback and also the email with additional feedback. This is greatly appreciated. With limited insight into the actual conversation you had with our account manager, we'll do our best to address your concerns in a productive manner. Was this the first, or one of the first conversations you had with our account manager? If so, that may have been part of the reason for the lack of specifics. Part of how we go about goal planning and strategy development is through series of questions and answers, identifying strengths and weaknesses, determining timelines and budgets, and other business related, exploratory conversations. If you were past the first couple of calls / conversations and were on to discussing strategy and implementation, the lack of communication / clarity / transparency at this point is concerning to us and we'd like to learn more about the situation if you'd be willing to share. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us on Google+. Sincerely, Mainstreethost Marketing Team

This company won't stop calling me after I clearly said I don't need their services. The first thing that tipped me off to their service as being a total scam was that the person on the other end asked me if I knew that my website was missing 95% of factors necessary for proper SEO. They had called and asked me that before about another website of mine. Apparently, it's a lie they tell everyone to try to get them interested in services. Besides, I've been working on my own sites for many, many years now so I know a few things about implementing proper SEO - which is why that number set of my "BS alarm". Don't believe a word they tell you.

These people are nasty and belligerent. They found my dad's business and website and randomly called him to offer their services, claiming to have an awesome deal. Three different people called in the span of a few weeks, repeatedly. My dad, naturally skeptical, began asking questions about their service and what they could do. The last guy who called was impatient with my dad's questioning, told him he had "wasted enough time" on him, and that my dad could call him by Tuesday if he wanted the deal. He was rude, condescending, and arrogant, when my dad was merely asking questions any prospective customer might ask. The first few people almost had my dad sold, but the last one put very rude pressure on my dad, so they won't be getting his business.

I paid this company $2600 upfront for 12 months of optimizing my website and not only I did not get result but got my website out of the search engine ranking. I have no idea what these people at main street host did but all I know is they have done something illegal to cause this. When I first signed up with them, they promised the world. Not only they did not deliver any result, I now have to find out what they have done wrong and how to clear the reputation of my site. Apparently they use black hat link-exchange that violates Google guidelines and can get your site thrown into sandbox and removed from search engines. Every month they sent a standard email saying the same thing: “Just wanted to send over an email to you letting you know that I have conducted some maintenance on your website this afternoon. I looked over your current optimization, added a few links, as well as took a look at your traffic in Google Analytics.” I used them for 6 months and had to stop them from further destroying my online presence. After many emails and phone calls, I was able to talk to them twice and they refused to refund me for the remaining of the year. Main street host has destroyed my online reputation and presence. I have been searching the internet for any class action suit against Main Street Host to join. I have four words for those who are considering using them: Stay away from maintstreethost! Do not use their services if you care for your reputation not to mention your money.

Ray, Thank you for your feedback. We do value this tremendously in effort to improve our services. Mainstreethost has been in business for over 13 years and would like to share some positive feedback with our viewers -- http://www.mainstreethost.com/testimonials.html. We can assure you that none of the work being provided to you for your website was in violation of Google's webmaster guidelines. We see that you've been a customer for over a year and last year around this time, rated our services as "Excellent" in a customer satisfaction survey and are still partially "utilizing" our SEO work. We would love to have the opportunity to review your concerns with you and again, appreciate your feedback. Sincerely, Mainstreethost Marketing Team
