A process for aid workers to develop resilience, while interacting with others: "GRACE: Tools for Building Capacity and Compassion"

G: Gather attention on the inbreath; on the outbreath, drop into the body
R: Recall your intention; let your intention be a resource
A: Attune to yourself: body, heart, mind; attune to others: body, heart, mind
C: Consider what will serve: use your capacity for insight and intuition
E: Engage: take action; then end your interaction, reflecting on what transpired.

Just added some new events to my calendar.... a one-day "Re-Connection and Renewal / Day of Heartful-ness" in September here in Santa Fe (co-led with Katya Kathy Lesher) and a workshop on "The Dharma of Money: Dana Paramita as a Path of Liberation" in Monterey, CA, in October. Would love to have you join me for something live and in-person later on this year!

Introduction
I love to bring mindful awareness into the process of helping organizations and businesses become more effective in what they do, and in getting people engaged in their mission. Some hats that I wear:
  • Cultural Anthropologist
  • Writer
  • Buddhist Chaplain
  • Change agent

My purpose on the planet:
To open hearts and minds through my writing and presence.

How that manifests these days:

I created The Liberated Life Project to offer tools for personal and collective liberation. The LLP supports people to live lives full of awareness, creativity, connection, and joy.

Through my business, Five Directions, I help progressive nonprofit organizations to build more engaged communities.

I contribute to the conversation about socially engaged Buddhism on my blog, The Jizo Chronicles.
