So proud to be a part of this amazing project, 7th of October at Manchester Museum.

Please see the below information about the performance times :
Our exciting new project, Flying Carpets:

SAT 7 OCTOBER

Craft workshops: 11am – 4pm
Performances: 11.30am / 1pm / 3pm
Manchester Museum
Suitable for all ages

Flying Carpets is an exciting family-friendly performance created and performed by refugee creatives at Manchester Museum. This immersive piece will lead audiences on a journey into the hidden stories behind some of the museum’s unique collections; and explore ancient and modern day links to Manchester’s new communities.

From a Saturday night out in a Congolese village, to the ramblings of Ishtar, Mesopotamian Goddess of love, beauty, war, and political power; prepare to be transported across centuries, civilisations and continents and to see the Museum collections in a new light.

Make something for the journey, and join our storyteller in the entrance hall for the Flying Carpets journey. Each journey lasts about 40 minutes.

Created by Community Arts North West with Abas Elj , Amani Creatives, Arian Sadr, Fereshteh Mozaffari and Mahboobeh Rajabi
Directed by Cheryl Martin

In collaboration with Journeys Festival International , Manchester Museum and Rethink Rebuild Society .

Flying Carpets is a new Journeys Festival International commission that will take place at the JFI Manchester Museum Takeover on Saturday 7 October. This event is part of the wider Journeys Festival International programme, which will take place in various locations across the city between 2-15 October 2017.
