Four tips for building a story with Google Trends

Google Trends (www.google.com/trends) shows you what people are searching for around the world. You can see what’s hot right now, and also explore the history and geography of a topic as it evolves. Find context for a topic or build a brand new story using these four tips:

1. Explore Hot Searches: Realtime data lets you see what people are most interested in at any given time.
2. Discover Top Charts: See top-ranked searches for a variety of topics from actors to sports teams to scientists and more.
3. Chart Search Trends: Enter your own search terms to explore and compare trends over time and by location.
4. Embed Graphs and Widgets. Use any chart from Google Trends for your own site. Provide ongoing commentary about the topics you care about with real data.

Happy trending!

Epcot is the most incredible Disney experience. Leave the rides and children behind and find yourself charmed by replicas of the world. Visit Japan or Mexico for dinner, Germany for a beer, and Norway for Maelstrom. Also tucked in the main Mexico restaurant is a tequila bar with a phenomenal avocado margarita. If only Disneyland had an Epcot.

A relic. It's exactly what you need if you came to Santa Monica looking for a beachy, non-cheesy, drinking experience. Supposedly the site of a JFK and Marilyn Monroe rendezvous, the charm and history is unmistakable. It's a great spot for a pre or post dinner drink and will leave you feeling like you saw some sights.

The most unique bar alive. It won't be authentic unless you arrive post 2pm. Cats and people alike are welcome.

Cool concept of combining a barber shop with a clothing, street wear boutique. Guys and girls alike will find something for themselves or a friend here. The storefront is easy to miss and the barbershop may mislead passerbys. Keep an eye out for this one.

Amazing little store with an array of items. The merchandise is thoughtful, compiling vintage clothing with local goods. The jewelry is incredible, yet pricey--something to aspire to. The sales associate is always very helpful, in a comfortable manner. Never much foot traffic and don't be discouraged by the lack of parking.

This is the best mediterranean food I've ever experienced. Everything from the lentil soup to the chicken shawarma is noteworthy. The restaurant is BYOB and attracts a college crowd, but it's the perfect spot for lunch or dinner and a group that's big or small.

This is a dinner option go-to. You'll always get a table, great food, and quick service. The prices are beyond reasonable and the staff is always accommodating. There is a pizza for everyone, but the empenadas and bacon wrapped dates are worth combining for a full meal.
