"The Storm taketh away"...sad to know that this photography will never be achievable again. This shot of the Maeratai wharf (Aucklan,NZ) pending a storm. The trig tower in the foreground was completely destroyed and the pier in the back ground has suffered heavy damage from severe weather last week.
Along with many other local photographers i'm sure, have an historical photo of a Landmark that had been there for decades.

"Spitfire Summer" - As NZ heads into Summer it can only mean one thing...our warbirds come out ready to fill the skies above. We are lucky to have some excellent examples still flying. Including this great Spitfire which has been beautifully converted so you can share the flying experience as well.

Architectural fun, a subject i have not paid to much attention to. But after a recent visit to our little big city, i can see it could be a lot of fun.

Perhaps my best shot from this morning, Having the boat moored up against the old Panmure wharf added a nice subject to work with. Just as well because within 10 minutes it sailed away.
The great thing about the Panmure Wharf is that i have taken over 200 photos and every time you get something different and it's only 5 minutes from work.

Old Wharf piles down at my local estuary. Nice misty morning on Friday so thought i'd have a go at black and white for this subject.

Nothing to spectacular, but my local estuary is a peaceful place in the early morning and with the weather calm but cold, the sunrises can add character.

Location is Tamaki Estuary, Auckland, NZ

This one was rather interesting, after talking to a local you just have to sit back and wait. Apparently this star burst reflection of the building only occurs in winter due to the height of the sunset. "Star of the City "
