Today is Safer Internet Day!

Cyberbullying, online gaming, trolling and the perils of social media are just some of the issues which come with the digital environment.

To help, the Office of the Children’s eSafety Commissioner has launched a new website which provides resources and tips on how parents, young people and children can learn how to be safe and secure with their connected devices.

Want to pause for a cause? Ready for a fresh year?

Febfast starts today so if you feel like taking a break from alcohol, sugar or something of your choice, get others to sponsor you and raise funds for disadvantaged young Australians.

A cause very close to MacKillop’s heart.

We know the environment surrounding us has a huge impact on our lives.

It's no different in #education - the learning environment can be so much more than just the classroom.

We're passionate about maintaining the childhood records of those that lived (& currently live) in care, and our Heritage Team provide people with supported access to their records when those people feel the time is right to view them.

So we were delighted to host a workshop for archivists from the Sisters of St Joseph - one of MacKillop's founding orders.

Participants were invited to put themselves in the place of a someone who is accessing their records & asked to consider what the person would be experiencing & what would they hope to find out?

We're so proud of our Central West Playgroup team from Braybrook in Melbourne. They were nominated for last night's 2016 Victorian Early Years Awards.

To be selected in the final 3 from 90 nominations is an amazing achievement & a testament to the difference they make in the lives of children & their families!
