A while ago I shared http://saijogeorge.com/css-puns/, which contains a buttload of amazing CSS puns that can certainly crack a smile on our web developers faces.

Apparently they keep adding new ones to it, so I'd recommend revisiting the site every so often. Otherwise you'd miss the puns like this one:

#OTD 1992, the STS-49 mission, the first flight of space shuttle Endeavour, set a record for the first (and only, to date) spacewalk involving three astronauts. The mission also featured a few other firsts. More: http://go.nasa.gov/1E5UM6d

May the 4th is also when us Dutch people stand still during Remembrance of the Dead. We commemorate all civilians and members of the armed forces who have died in wars or peacekeeping missions in World War II.

I probably haven't looked on my Facebook and Twitter accounts in over 2 months. I feel that I've missed so much...   ^^

— j/k

Unfortunately I still 'need' my Facebook account in order to manage some business pages, otherwise it would've been gone already. Problems, problems...

Happy Birthday to Salvador Dalí, born on this day in 1904! We love his 'Meditative Rose', 1958.

Introducing Google+ Collections, a new way to group your posts by topic

Our happiest Google+ users are those who connect with others around shared interests and passions. So we set out to give people a place to express the things they love. Today, we’re announcing Google+ Collections, a new way to group your posts by topic.

Every collection is a focused set of posts on a particular topic, providing an easy way for you to organize all the things you’re into. Each collection can be shared publicly, privately, or with a custom set of people. Once you create your first collection, your profile will display a new tab where other people can find and follow your collections.

Posts in collections you follow will appear in your Home stream, with a link to easily jump right into the collection so you can get to similar content from that author. Collections give you a great way to find more of the stuff you love from the people you follow.

Collections is available on Android and the web, and iOS is coming later. For Android users, make sure to update your Google+ app to get access to Collections.

For inspiration on interesting topics, check out our Featured Collections page here: g.co/collections

Create your collections today and share what you love.

+1 for +NASA

Tatooine? No, it's Kepler-16b. The existence of a world with a double sunset, as portrayed in the film Star Wars more than 30 years ago, is now scientific fact. Our Kepler mission has made the first unambiguous detection of a circumbinary planet - a planet orbiting two stars - 200 light-years from Earth.

Unlike Star Wars' Tatooine, the planet is cold, gaseous and not thought to harbor life, but its discovery demonstrates the diversity of planets in our galaxy. Previous research has hinted at the existence of circumbinary planets, but clear confirmation proved elusive. Kepler detected such a planet by observing transits, where the brightness of a parent star dims from the planet crossing in front of it.

Freelance graphic designer for music
Introduction
Full-time freelance graphic designer for music (and a bit of a web specialist too).

First and foremost a freelance designer for record labels, bands and solo musicians. As a graphic designer I am specialized in — but not limited to — design for music. Which has always been one of my passions.

Aside from that passion I still actively employ my years of working experience as all-round web specialist to create effective websites. From strategy to design, development and optimization. Including online marketing and SEO.

Over the years I've become good at both. My specialization, however, lies in design for music. Which was born from a personal ambition; music has always been very important to me as a person and I think it’s fantastic being able to contribute with everything visual surrounding it. In print and on the web.

Music and its design (should) form a whole.
Music is one part of the presentation and its artwork is the other part, they’re not separate things. That’s why I strive to create unique graphic designs that are unified with their music, to ensure that the image is a visual representation of that music.

It should be beautiful and fitting.

Are you performing in a band, or as a solo musician?
