What a great way to celebrate National Public Safety Telecommunications Week (April 13-19) then by honoring two of our dispatchers! Public Safety Dispatcher III Wandruff (pictured on the left) and Public Safety Dispatcher Blackburn (pictured on the right) were recently recognized as "Dispatchers of the Year." They are seen here in their beautiful hats as the event called for a "Kentucky Derby" theme. Well done you two, and a big thank you to all of the men and women who serve in our Public Safety Support Services Division!

#MountainView PD's beautiful and very sweet -- when he isn't all business protecting our community -- #K9 Odin is growing up! He just returned from protection training where he shined amongst the best of them. You can learn and read more about Odin and his handler, K9 Officer Hansen, here: http://mountainviewpoliceblog.com/?s=odin.

Just a reminder about new "No Parking" signs posted along the north side of Martens Avenue between Carmelita Drive and Grant Road (the no-sidewalk side). There is no parking allowed in this area on school days from 7:30AM to 3:00PM. Vehicles parked there will be cited. Thank you!

+Anthony Chang Thank you for letting us know! The best way to address this is to go here: https://clients.comcate.com/newrequest.php?id=128&dept=1094 then select "Streets and Traffic" --> "Red Curb Requests" and/or "Street Signs."

Good morning, #MountainView! We know it's Monday and that either means your kids are back in school, you're heading in to work, or you're off for Spring Break. Whatever your route this Monday, please drive carefully. We don't want to see anyone in a collision like we experienced earlier this morning at Shoreline Avenue and California Street. Walk + ride + bike safely!

We love having visitors in #MountainView, but did you know you can't park in the police department's lot? If you're here to see us on official business, great! But there are two large signs posted at both entrances that explain the rules for those who are not. Unfortunately some people chose to ignore them. Spend money on a great dinner, not a citation!
